ADDITIONAL INFO

- The main color of the creature has to be yellow. Of course you are free to add other colors, but make sure that yellow has to be dominant.

- Well, the creature is called bloodsucker so no alternates to this bad habit

I'll have to think of some interesting colors to use with yellow besides red and blue. I use that primary color scheme too often.

I don't think my edition of Photoshop has those colors. I think I'm going back to burnt orange brown and desaturated blue and just post stuff on the RPG forums. This is just too much trouble.

Update 5: Getting there. Please comment.

Creature Features
-Strong but lightweight prongs pierce skin and flesh. Pores inject gastric fluids, which liquefy organic matter. Resulting soup is ingested by extendable esophagus/tongue.
-Keen eyesight for spotting prey and observing surroundings. Eyes can be retracted deep into skull cavities to avoid injury from sharp bones, etc.
-Large cranium houses large, well-developed brain, as well as a dolphin-like sound-producing organ. Noises are produced for communication, rather than echolocation, and are beyond the hearing of most prey animals, including humans. Exhibit high problem solving skills, as well as capability for planned and cooperative action.
-Spine is flexible for greater speed, and is an efficient shock-absorber.
-Breathing orifices on back (not yet rendered), so that head my be buried deep inside prey's flesh without impairing breathing.
-Long, muscular limbs allow for brief bursts of high speed, up to 55 mph. Large claws used for digging, climbing, and self-defense.
-Stiff tail acts as stabilizer in sharp turns.
-Young borne live, but feed on liquefied organic matter rather than milk.
-Endothermic with speedy metabolism.
-Have complex, pack-based, matriarchal society, similar to hyenas.
-Lifespan of around twenty years. Twice that in captivity.
-Recorded instances of small groups escaping captivity and causing havoc on Earth. Escapees survived solely on blood, since gastric juices were unable to dissolve the protein structures of Earth animals. This habit led to the name "Yellow Blood Sucker."

Since I'm off to Colorado Saturday (for two weeks), and the next two days look pretty busy, I have to yield the coming two cows... with some regret.

Perhaps I'll throw up a quicky on Friday... but probably not.

C.O.W. - #089: Yellow Bloodsucker

Little is known about this little creature, but what have been observed during the years is that due to very bad flying abilities it has to attach to a creature, contraire to other moskitoes that go around bitting everyone that they want! Basically when they find their prey, they attach to it and keep sucking blood, loosing their wings because they don't need them anymore, this creature keeps sucking and sucking until the day it dies. Boring life, isn't it?

Yeah agreed Stephan, I liked the design on the left one better but I couldn't visualize a finished piece on that one as I did with the one on the right, and as you can see I started it hehe, hope to work on it tomorrow and make a nice entry Looking foward to see what you do too!

Ixodes Scapularis Ochros – Yellow haired parasitic genetically engineered tick, or yellow bloodsucker as its commonly known. Thru the marvels of science and genetic gene splicing this creature parasitically lives off its host, embedding its eight fangs into the flesh while its saw like underbelly works its way abrasively down thru the skins layers. Once embedded these animals are almost impossible to get off. They are covered with what would appear to be yellow hair, however much like the fine hairs on several cacti these are in fact quills and cause a nasty infection should they break off in the skin.
For now this breed of tick remains captive and for study. One can only hope that like most genetic experiments that these little monsters don’t make their way into the outside world.

More details to identify the creature and make the texture more realistic if i can.

Well, I simply had to put some entry into this yellow bloodsucker round.
It is rather rushed... and will not reach the top entries...but I wanted to join the carnage anyway! (something about me and shells lately... might see a psychiatrist turtle about that...)
