An update on my work in progress drawing:

Hope I will get some feedback. I would like to know if you people like it and maybe someone can give me some advice on the colouring since I have some problems with this one on that aspect.
Thanks

Looks pretty sweet, maybe contrast the guy against the background a little bit more? It'd be cool to see you mess around with creative compositions a bit more too. Keep it up.![]()
VERY good!!! You should post more recent stuff, it seems as if you've abandoned the forums. But it's PRETTY GOOD.
What is up there y'all?
Been busy but now it's time for some personal digital painting!
I hope you guys can see the improvements Ive made while I was gone.
Here is a fast environment piece I did today(maybe Im gonna fine tune it later):

great stuff in here man! i think your definately improving. for that greyish looking painting, when you asked about colors.. when most people look at an image, they are usually spending about 2 seconds per image, unless something jumps out at them. this one is very grey, it almost blends into itself. what i would suggest, is to try something bold, maybe painting his cloak thing around his neck a bright yellow. (although in this atmosphere it would probably appear more muddy and stained) and maybe give his eyes a bit of a glow too. or maybe his armor plating could have a few neon strips in it. just something that could make it pop a bit more you know? but your doing good stuff man, just keep working hard, and most important thing i cannot stress enough is to do studies!! from photos, life, still lifes, anything- that will help your colors the most!

Looks like you watched brad rigneys video! Do you like the dodge and smudge? Cool looking characters. I would recommend doing some studies of some of your favorite artists. Its pretty fun and helps a lot.
Nice speed paints.
I think you could use some studies with form because I can see some form problems in your work. It's the first thing that caught my eye so I suppose it's your biggest flaw to tackle. Do some still lifes and stuff like that and it'll help a lot!
Laters!
Hello guys,
I'm finally working really hard on trying to improve, and now I need you guys more than ever! I need honest crits, no need for the kind words.
I'm going to start a drawing which should be my best piece ever, so I want everything in it: good composition, lightning, coloring etc etc
So I made a thumbnail for the idea I want to work out in this piece, and I really need YOU guys to look closely at it, see if you can find something I did wrong.
I'm kinda terrible with backgrounds, interior, composition and lightning, so PLEASE look at this thumbnail and tell me what you think is wrong.
The idea: A kinda typical spooky and dark old house on the second floor, with bright bleu light kinda coming from the right side, on the floor down. And there is a flashlight aiming at the creature. I know it looks shit, but it is merely to get the structure of the upcoming drawing.
THANKS!

very nice sketchbook. I especially like the values studies as well as the picture of the girl with the texture down her neck and the alien armor thing right beneath it. You seem to have a good eye for the lines on the body. I´ll be back.
see ya
