More of my stuff here.
Been a while since I've posted in this thread. Lots of nice work to be seen.
Here's a couple of my better ink drawings I've done recently.
A ink wash drawing referenced from a photograph of a frog, copyright owned by Time-Life. Unfortunately I did this on regular sketchbook paper (~80 lbs I think), so there was a lot of buckling that came through in the scan.
This is a pen and brush drawing of the Confederate President Jefferson Davis, referenced from a photograph. Don't quite remember the title of the Civil War book I got the photo from, but it's pretty much the Jefferson Davis photo that everyone uses so I'm not too worried about the legalities there.
-My work can be found at my local directory thread.
Some old, some not as old. All ink...

ANOTHER
CamiloDragon, nice work, I really enjoy the use or fusion of natural and abstract elements. they hint at realism until you search for the true origins of the shapes and planes represented in space. really fun to look at.
hellyeahpanda, amazing
Nice piece of art...
I browsed through this thread - a lot of gorgeous work here!
I'm putting up some doodles, concept sketches, cards . . . the common thread being that they are done in ink. The only sustained ink work I've done in the last few years probably ought to be posted in my gallery so that will have to wait a bit.
Can anyone tell me how this art of mine is?
If it needs improvement what is it?
wow love this thread some work on here is amazing and i too recently discovered ink and love it here are some things ive done

"Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."

Book Illustration I did a while back
Mainly ink drawing , with watercolour and markers
"Mindamorphosis"
Ink on Wood
"Theft"
Some of you guy's work really well with ink. I have a few all ink drawings myself, unfortunately i just haven't figured out how I am going to get them on this computer so I can post them... *smh*
Manlybrian, I really like your style and the narrativeness of the pictures. The first one is like an illustration to a book I just recently finished by Joe Abercrombie, the character's called Bloody-Nine.
I thought I'd share with you my "Fumius Bandersnatch." Ink drawings are a real challenge because they tend to be unforgiving. If you make a mistake, what do you do? I've found it to be more flexible, the more I use it. You learn to let mistakes become a part of your drawing. Sometimes something beautiful may happen.

JetLime: Thanks! The first one is an illustration inspired by a heavy Oh, Sleeper song about fighting all of hell, heh. In the end he screams out the caption.

Ralph Slatton: The Bandersnatch is awesome.
Here are some of my more recent Ink drawings.
Although I'm more or less no master in ink, I felt an urge to post some stuff.
Hope you like it.
Greetings,
Max
I've got an older scratchboard here, done in pen, brush and ink then scratched away where needed. If there's any problem with this not being straight pen and ink let me know and I'll remove it.
I hope this image comes up, not really sure what I'm doing...

I'm starting to get the hang of this. Here's a few more drawings some older, a few more recent. The first image is way oversized. The next four are pretty much near original size.
