Wow!definatley worth every single piece of your best clay-this is amazing!
Damned ! You are definetly such a "killer" Mr Kidwell, more than your head merchant
Amazing piece,
Threatening
How long did you work on it?
I saw you changed eyes of the beast,
Are you gonna mold it cause it seems tricky...But you always surprising us so...
Isn't that better to cut arms under shoulders to hide the cutting lines (sorry for this novice question i guess you have you reasons)
Won't you cut the wire under, couldn't he stand without?
Congratulations!!!!!!!

Thats pretty amazing man, and well worth the clay.
- I think it's official... I am the world's slowest painter
looks very cool, nice creature. how big is that sculpture?
thanks guys I really appreciate that .tysiony I cant keep that stuff around long its no matter how much i overstock , 12 dollars a pound plus shipping that piece cost me $200 plus oh well, I just hate waiting until i have more .
hey pj thanks much . I worked on it about three weeks . and I appreciate the good word on the eyes I like them much better now .as for the molds on this one this piece is going to have to be cast hollow due to its size so its getting farmed out for that , I dont have a spin casting machine and the molds need to be made to work with that . this will actually help keep my resin costs very low as well as shipping as the head murchant kit will be lighter as well as shipped from stateside and not from way out here .
I actually had planned to have the chaimail neck armor extend out over those lines but I felt it looked better shorter so Im going to be working some strapping over those seams.
As for the rest of the casting the beast will be cast all one piece minus the base and body of the dude. and the wire will be removed before molding . no novice questions there at all . Thanks pj you are actually very perceptive as these are questions ive also had to ask and fix.
thanks much , nick, vash and zwie for the kind words ...

This is truly an amazing piece !! Very believable detail, and the facial expression in very sinister and smirky at the same time. Some great work on the beasty and it may be enough to inspire me to break out of just doing small stuff and try to take on something bigger. Great work on this!!
Amazing, I love it.

Wow!That thing is breathtaking. It reminds me of Frazetta's Death Dealer, but that's a good thing

Hey Kent,
It looks like you sprayed your sculpture with a gray primer or something. If so, what did you use and why?
BTW, I'm a big fan of your work and have been watching your resin kit thread with anticipation. Can't wait to see more!
amazing detail. cant wait to see the finished piece!
hey oddioh,
the sculpture was so multi colored with baking differen epoxies three kinds of clay it was very hard to see detail at all for photographs, It also helps to see flaws , so after the shots weer taken I sanded alot to clean it up before sending to the castor.
Do you give it a light sanding after spraying?
I've never bought kits before, but I might want to just to study your work closer.
I hope your marriage survived. If your wife still has hard feelings tell her a bunch of geeks on the internet really appreciate your work!
