    Josh Singh's Sketchbook.

Wow, it has been Forever since I posted here.
But I have been doing a lot of drawing lately at work
and would like to take it to the next level. As far as I know this is the place to do it.
I'm gonna go ahead and post some works that are a bit more finished and I'll post more stuff from my most recent sketchbook tomorrow since I left it at my desk.
Crits, Thoughts, and Encouragement are Highly Valued and Appreciated
Here's the first batch of a little side project I am working on.
OH, Also, I am a Video game Character artist by trade, so don't be surprised to see 3d models of concepts on here from time to time.

The whale is very interesting, complex enough to give it flesh and character. Would love to see it animated.

I love Bobby Chiu. But I can't say I conciously think of his stuff when doing mine. But no doubt he has probably influenced me sub consciously.

Well, not many sketches I can show. Mostly for work.
But I have been getting into zbrush3. And it's sort of the same as sketching right?
I'm going through processes, practicing and getting Ideas out of my head, right?
ok. So here are some busts I did over the weekend, the Morpheus sculpt was done last night:

Oh my god! I'm always impressed at the talent on here. So, much so that I shouldn't be surprised or amazed, but evertime I think that "oh, this has to be the best out there," something new and fresh comes along. Kudos man! You're my flavor of the week! I really love your 3D cowboy guy. Keep it coming!

Thanks guys. I'm glad you like.
bbassir: What flavor would that be? Something salty I hope :p
Kuroart: I'll try man. My plan is to do a bust at least every weekend, untill I'm totally familiar with the program.

Great updates, the busts are pretty good - 3D but they still have a slight 'hand made' quality to them. The old cowboy one has great character to it - nasty looking bastard.

Still, I would love to see more pencil sketches though. Maybe even some realism here and there.

These sculptures are stunning... I especially like the head-and-neck cloth design on the third one. Did you "cut" them in a block or did you start from a standard anatomy base which you morphed and refined into your characters?

And what happened to the choking whale I liked so much? Any chance you will make it in zbrush too?
