Good job! Keep on
hey man! congrats again for the magazine exposureWesleys words are true indeed!
as for the wip, the eyes are not lining up properly, I think the left (our left) eye needs to come down a little bit, and possibly the right eye up a bit. Also, when lining the eyes up relative to the mouth, make sure you get a slight contraposto going on between them, as that is present in most people (make it very subtle though ofcourse!). you already have this going on a little bit, but the eyes are still off.
She could also do with a bit more hair on the sides of the head as well in my opinion. and the colorbone could be a lot subtler, and the sternocleidomastoid muscles need to connect to the end bumps of the colorbone in a special way (look at some refs)
The colors are looking ace though man! I am looking forward to seeing it finished.
keep it up!
the w.i.p looks fantastic man
and congrats on the feature i can't wait to see it in front of me when i'll get it the mail![]()

RThanks for all the encouragement! Its really nice to here from you guys. Archipelago, thanks for the solid tips, really helpful, working on it right now. Just to answer Peetar's question, people outside of the UK won't get the issue I'm in (issue 51) for another month.
Sorry I don't have time to reply properly, I hate to look like a dick. Just know I read everything and am really really grateful.
A quick personal plug, I've got a new blog up and running, to serve as a kind of web-site, feel free to check it out. http://miles-art.blogspot.com/
For now though, some more commisioned work
Aaaand some ink and bleach fun. turns out bleach turns ink orange, makes for some fun effects. This was really quick to make as well, around half an hour.

Congrats on the magazine.
Something about the leg looks odd on the commissioned piece. The face looks a tad skewered as well, but nice work.![]()

looking forward to see some more of your art
Milesy, how's it going with the WIP on the last page, the one with the big blue eyes. That thing was gorgeous man. I hope to see it finished sometime![]()
Wow, nice book man, great progress from the beginning! I didn't have time to look through it all today, so I just checked every tenth page, but I'll definitely have a closer look tomorrow.
Keep up the great work.
It doesn't cost You much to leave a comment in my sketchbook, and it can help me a lot.

Thanks everyone! Krato, I get what you mean about the glare being obnovious. I was just playing about with new ways of presenting those characters, and think I probably overdid it. the client seemed to like it though, and I guess thats the most important thing.
So for now, just an update on the last W.I.P
Thanks!
well if the client thats all that matters! on the last one work with the shoulder armor, im sorta confused by how the fire's light is hitting her face, since its behind her, and maybe theres some to the side of her, shouldn't the shoulder armor be interfering with the light? Either way, its a wip and a cool piece, and how the lights hitting could pass without notice easily.. work on them shoulder pads though, the design looks sorta boring.
lookin good! what canvas size do you work in?

wip is really nice, but if the shadows were this sharp, the object that causes it had to be like...10 inches away?the way it is now it would only work if the lightsource was a tiny dot.

congratz with your feature in IFX, great work![]()
Loving the WIP! Her eyes totally draw me in! I went out and bought the issue of IFX, congratulations! = )
Ive seen your work in this months Imagine FX's issue and was in disbelief that youre only 16Bravo man. I was still a noob when I was 16!
Im liking the new updates! keep them coming! and youre quite the inspiration.
I think this last piece would be well of trying to keep at two light sources, as you only have one protagonist in the image. The way it is now, the light falling on the face is warm, and therefore cancels out the light coming from the lower right. Also, you might want to try and use bolder brush strokes.
-E
that's a great looking w.i.p i only have but one suggestion her left eye looks a bit too yellow greenish compared to the rest of the face and also a bit too dark if what i think you tried to do is to compliment the reddish tones of the picture by putting some yellowish green in it i would go with a more subtle color to complement the red and orange tones in this one.
overall it looks fantastic and i eager it all finished![]()
good work! ;]
