This wip looks really nice I think that the only issue is that body language and face expression don't match :/

    Anyway, I really like it

Cool stuff as always man Remember though even if it is WIP the issues with the body should have been worked out much earlier, don't wait until it's all rendered out and end up abusing transform tools to shift stuff around heheh. But who cares anyways it's a personal work, nobody should tell you how to approach whatever it is you're doing Keep kicking ass dude!

Nice stuff. The skin on the first one seems very monochromatic - almost gold. Is that intentional? If not, I'd recommend adding some touches of the red.

I like how the second one is coming along. The lighting on her face and shoulder is sweet.

Hey mate, I love you're progress it's really great, you're paintings are beautiful and here comes the part where I tell you what bothers me, most of you're girls have pretty much the same face features, the square jaw and pretty much the same eyes mouth lips, try doing more variations, different head studies will help.
    just my opinion, be well!

Hey again, Ideally I wanted to wait till all this stuff was finished, but at this rate it would be a while before I posted. So just a little update on my digital work.

I seem to spend hours and hours working on these and not make much progress, maybe I just have to loosen up a little.

this girl is really beauty, but have problems with anatomy and proportions..
You should change length of hands and feet, and reduce arms

    good luck!

Your renderin style is really comin along man! Now you gotta focus more on the fundamentals! Structure is key , more anatomy

I'm with Mr. Delicious; your rendering is definitely coming along fantastic, but it won't hurt to get back into the habit of studying s'more, too.

So, well, took down all the other wips because, they were shit. Too many anatomical errors and you guys were right about the structure. So I went away and really tried to rework the image in terms of pose, lighting and anatomy. I really hope you guys notice, as I have figured that this image has managed to accumulate approx 20-30 hours 0_0 . My process is ridiculous to be honest, I leave waay to much of the real work to 10 hours plus in the picture. If I can help it this is definately the last time I start to render before I even have a picture laid out.

So, I've just started college, (years 12 and 13 here in england), doing 5 subjects, with Fine art as one, which are all gonna leech about 7 hours a week I figure including lesson time. I have no regrets in terms of this though, and still have plenty of time to find the time to draw, and should hopefully get to try out some more ambitious

Thanks for all the support, and hopefully, (finally) more regular updates are in store.

Oh and I've thrown in the finished version of that guy again.

Really cool pieces dude! Love the lighting on both of them. The girl in the first one seems to have overly thick knees and lower legs in comparison to the rest of her body though. If you're going to work on it anymore at all, I hope it helps.

If I may go into what PieMonster said above me; I also notice that her back knee is wider than her front knee, which, in perspective, doesn't seem right...

All in all yet another amazing piece that should fit right in with the rest of your jawdropping portfolio...

Good luck at school! I have another week left and then mine begins as well...

    Wow, the soldier is great.

I also like the atmosphere of the last one, though a more intense sky would've made it even better.

I think Mr. Delicious was spot-on with the paintover. I was going to comment on her hand being too big and knees being too wide, but there you go. Looking really great so far.

hay man!!!! I LIKE URE STUFF! n___n LOL

glad to hear that you are going to school and also taking other classes then art, free education is so underrated these days (it is free in the uk right? cheap anyway I hope). Everyone is always fucking complaining about going to school and having an opportunity to easily make yourself more intelligent, which is fair enough in some cases I guess, but you even get a large monthly salary for attending and a free hot lunch here in Sweden and people still complain.

You will find that doing the other subjects properly and trying to get a good grade in them will feed straight back into your art and life in general, which you probably know already. and you will definitely have time to draw as well.

There was this experiment conducted where they got kindergarten kids to sit down infront of a plate with 1 marshmallow on it, and the kids where told that if they refrain from eating the marshmallow for 15 minutes, they will get 1 more marshmallow as a reward. I think it was something like half the kids that chose to wait a while for a greater reward. The others just gobbled the single marshmallow straight away.
Anyway, the interesting thing about this study is that they followed up on this when the kids where in college, and it turns out that the kids who chose to wait for 2 marshmallows generally had much better grades and where happier people.
It is because they had a greater appreciation for the larger long term rewards then the smaller short term ones.

    yeah.

    keep it up dude!
