Pretty tight. Her neck looks a bit beefy, though (could've been intended, I suppose). The hands are being dug. ;D

    replies..

monotony thank you, I hope to be able to look back on work like this in the same way I look at my work from a year ago in a years time.

JailHouseRock hey man, thanks for the compliments, I could colour that last one but at the moment I'm thinking I gotta work more on my weaknesses like environments etc. What you said about ego really got me thinking. Because you're right, I can be really bad like that at times and I figure I should take advantage of any advice and chances to improve I can get right now. I'll keep the ego on the downlow, and try to work more on the studying as well as imaginative.

rebel rebel thanks man, I think its partly how the scan comes out that the lines look so dark :/, still I'll work more on line control. thanks

Reject-D haha thanks man, I still find it hard to get the most outta my scanner:p

Black Spot more hands there are..

    kischi :p

    shit.

um..err.. I guess she could turn it over when she starts shooting:p, more proof I gotta think about what I'm drawing haha

localfathead thank you very much man

Studies, 3 hours worth. I know I'm slow, but I figure I get the most out of them this way. Also practicing line quality and stuff like that. I break up from school tomorrow for the christmas break so should have more time to work on art. thanks guys.

Mannnn your one year younger than me, and rolling me with your skill, good work lol. I wish i found this website as early as you. Anyway going off the subject of my jealous ramblings, I like the way you shade, very clean especially on your latest char.

I only have one critic is that on your hand study try having a wider contrast, your lines are awesome but adding some darker tones to the shade would really make it go a long way. Great work man keep pumping those drawings out.

Meissner yeah haha, referenced them from this 3D hand cat scan thingy, it was linked from posemaniacs

http://www.posemaniacs.com/tools/handviewer/ the first one aint a hand but the rest are:p

Walid D yeah I feel some fucking ROBOTS coming on sometime over the weekend

SamC yeah man, referenced off that model^^ and yeah haha, its the model I was talking about

jordythanks man haha, I'll do the studies from life from now on

Sketchzthanks man! haha yeah I try to get plenty of contrast in the characters, but with the studies I didn't wanna spend too much time rendering.

Just started a knew character trying to apply the stuff I was studying yesterday. WIP, no ref.

    Cool stuff dude!
In the last one, the closest arm is quite flat. The lower arm should also curve a little more, but this is nit-picking.

    Keep working!

step back when your drawing and look st the image as a whole. you see things that arrent right. try using a mirror, flip it upside down. Try to see things in a different way ya know.

last character is a little to short i think the legs arent long enough. thats just me

    keep kicking ass!

Hey man, great stuff. Great effort. I noticed on that last sketch, the girls lower body (butt an below) looks a bit small compared to her upper body. As always, Good stuff.

    DStraX haha thanks man

PieMonster thanks dude, so it is, ill fix it when I next work on it

hunchbackthanks dude, yeah I can see the whole image much more on a sketchbook than on a computer screen. I was wondering about the legs while doing it, proportions in people do vary quite a bit, but I think you are probably right.

Untouched yeah , still not sure if it bothers me, they arent so small that they are specifically wrong, but astetically they would have been better longer. Thanks man

    mariusz

    SnobbyOo thanks

Once again something quite different for me. Wanted to do some more environments so I tried out a sort of three point perspective with a kind of wide angle effect. Still a WIP.
