I was going to start commenting on pieces, but then I scrolled down and came across so many more great pieces... I think it is REALLY ABOUT TIME THAT CHOW GETS A STAR FOR ITS WINNER (like COW does)!!!

so many gorgeous entries, i'm kinda afraid to post mine lol.. i probably wont be able to make it in time, started abit too late, and i can't seem to sit still this weekend, hardly got any painting done

I posted another WIP to my entry on Page 1. Don't know if this week is closed, or if I can even finish today, but I'm stealing time whenever I can to work on it. So much good work from so many people. Congrats to all!

Nice piece. The white linework on the wing is a little distracting, though.

Great mood and details. Face looks a bit masculine is my only crit.

Nice work. I personally find the heart a bit much. It becomes the focus (red tends to do that!) of the piece, and I think its strong enough without that.

Just so strong, really. Wonderful design.

Love this one, too. The firetips are a little distracting. I liked it a lot before them. Perhaps if they were used judiciously they would have more singular impact?

joe12south - Just checked out your image again and you might want to check your Valkyrie's right leg. She's in a sharp angled kneel but it looks like her thigh goes down too far... if you have time check out this reference: http://www.eastern.edu/athletics/Che...ages/kneel.jpg
It might just be that her back thigh is going too low.

I Quit I got homework to do plus school in the mourning and because of my lack of photoshop skills I'm out.

Since I have like 8 commision works to do before schools out, I'll see you when summers up or when I've got the time. Dammit All!!! But I'll definently put my sketches up so look for me

lukavi - I think Penumbra mentioned it earlier but there was some definite (good!) Amano vibe coming from your Valkyrie. Good stuff, I'd like to give the method a go some time.

Posted my final painting on page 1. Didn't get the chance to work it all to the same degree as her face, but this is my first finished digital painting and I'm just not fast enough yet! I had a lot of fun with my first CHOW. Gotta get faster!

P.S. As a CD, I just couldn't help notice how so many of you overpowered your piece with great big clunky type at the bottom. Please, don't ruin your great paintings with terrible design!
