    Red face Storyboarding? Where/How?

I want to learn how to storyboard becuase of how versitile the tool is for the graphic arts. Does anyone have any recommendations on whats the best way to learn storyboarding?

Should I pick up storyboarding books or should I look for a teacher/class on it?

    thanks!

"From Word to Image" was the "textbook" in my storyboarding classes. You need to be able to know camera angle lingo and visual shorthand, which this book goes over well.

You should also consider picking up a book on visual storytelling...IE a film, animation or comic storytelling book. The technical skills will do you no good if you can't transition 2D images.

SCAD is the only school with a strictly sequential major atm, but some film and performing arts majors will offer storyboarding classes, or in sub-sets within other courses.

Um, uh... I might know a thing or two about storyboards (considering it's what I do for a living). I also teach a storyboard exclusive class too. Mercifully so, my semester's coming to an end and I can kick back a bit (ie. dive back into the real world again). Feel free to contact me directly and we can pinpoint exactly what it is you're looking for.
