    thanks!

A few days ago I went out and bough some watercolours and I've been experimenting around ever since then. Only the first one came out sort of okay though. But man I love that paper, I browsed around in the shop a little and bought a sheet of thick and extremely smooth watercolour paper and it's been heaven drawing on that. Also some open canvas stuff.

hello again! updates, this often? say it ain't so!

wilkerson: I'm a bit embarrassed to say that I don't really use all that much reference. Occasionally I do google up some stuff but I should really get into the habit of using refs more often.

thank you all for your kind words!

This post features some anatomy studies and some stuff from open canvas (with DanielC, fuck the guy can draw! so much that I shamelessly and somewhat unsuccessfully started to imitate his techniques )

Say homeboy you don’t waste any paper when your sketching, fill the whole page and rock on..

The drunk and horney old goat with the dog, gets my vote; booze and man’s best friend, awesome. So crisp in black and white, great action.

jedininjaman: Thanks a lot! It's really nice to hear someone likes my book!

    Peetaer: Thank you!

Miles_: oh yeah, OC is all sorts of awesome, such a shame it isn't more widespread. Really helpful and educational too, I used to be a real event file addict. A younger me would look at the older me and say "what a prick, didn't post the event file or anything"

algenpfleger: Oh hell man! I love your stuff! You're like the biggest motivational boost around here, any time I feel like not doing anything in particular or go through one of those "baah, I don't feel like drawing today" I just check up your sketchbook, revel in the hand studies, the self portraits, the anatomy sketches and count the pages. Quality and quantity hand in hand, that's something that doesn't happen very often, especially with my lousy mileage : /

carnal: haha! Alcohol, the fuel of great men! Next one is going to be about a drunk dog : )

archipelago: hey man! Let's have an OC one real soon, yeah?

DanielC: Yeah, you too! or maybe take a break so I could eventually catch up with you? : )

Tugelbend: Haha, really the only thing you need to do to be like me is to start dressing funny : ) (artist in action!)

Tigermilk: Thanks for your continued support! : D

fragmentedchimp: Hey! Most of the stuff from the last post was open canvas though I usually paint (and the last portrait was also done) in Photoshop.

Radon_: I only know a little german and I use it mostly to amuse myself with inappropriate faux german slogans : )

Yes! So here's some from the sketchbook! Most of the floating portraits are quick stuff done from life while waiting for the bus (I'm absolutely horrible at getting the likeness down) and some of those pages are done while a bit tipsy
also featuring a painting of a steampunkish street and a birthday present for a special someone

More great sketches, you have good control of values.
I like the last one but to critique I like the clouds a lot but I feel theres redundancy to the right of the creature. The city and the creature are well done too but I think the area between them could use more detail.
    Really interesting idea.
