Central Coast, California

The Southern California thread is huge, and Southern California itself is much to large and general of an area, so I'm starting a more specific thread about my own little corner of Southern California, the Central Coast. The Central Coast goes from around Santa Barbara to the south to up around, I don't know, San Simeon in the North, I guess. Basically, you know if you live there.

So, I'm pretty much looking for some like-minded individuals in the Santa Maria, Five Cities, San Luis Obispo, and Morro Bay areas to draw and get creative with.

So, anyone?

Chaosrocks- Carmel's in Monterrey County, right? I'm talking more about San Luis Obispo/northern Santa Barbara counties.
demure- Cal Poly's a lot closer. Did you just start at Cal Poly? If so, have fun at W.O.W. Week (that's week of welcome week, dontcha know). How's the art program over there, anyway?

No I'm going to be a 3rd year. The Art&Design program here is pretty awesome with some great professors. The program is also very hard to get into so all of the students are fairly competent and competetive, which is nice.

Cool! What's your emphasis (studio art, graphic design, etc.), and what are your goals? I looked at the Cal Poly art curriculum a few months ago but wasn't very interested. It just struck me as being too generalized. I might have to reconsider hearing your praise of it, though.
Maybe we can do some sketching sometime? There're lots of interesting people and buildings downtown.
