Thought I'd start a sketchbook, seeing as I'm fairly new in the digital world of art and need all the help I can get to develop. Didn't really start to draw until last year, so everything is basically self taught.

The topic here was to make a transformer out of a video game console.

These are two of many characters I made last December. Most of them were pretty rushed though.

This basically started out as a doodle in Photoshop to practice with my cheap tablet, but ended up something more than that. Not finished at all, though. Don't know if I will.

I second the Gameboy Transformer is awesome motion! Love the Tetris blocks crafted in It.

Your photoshop work is great. I especially like your stylized animal of the eagle. The finished one looks really nicely done. I would like to see some more serious stuff though, i think you could go really far.

And yes, I should really try to do some more serious and realistic stuff, but that's never been my strong suit. More the reason to practice I guess.

Further update. This actually start to look like it might be finished one day.

such an imagination, i am amazed by the originality of these pieces. especially the dragon with the kid on his belly. i think that is amazing, made me chuckle, really captured the moment on the kids face. good stuff

Nice designs, you put a lot of originality and your own touch to all of them. My fav is the COW winged healer creature. ..But damn I love all your creature designs.

Nice sketchbook.

Love the stylised eagle pics. The first 2 versions I wasing thinking were OK, but the finished version was great - beautiful rich colours and a classic 'cartoon expression'.

fun designs on your COW entries, and the latest critter is adorable

perhaps try experimenting with more subtle colors variations to add more richness to your drawings, keep it up!

Dig the C.o.w's you have done mate. I'm eager to see how the hamster warrior picture turns out. Right now the hamster doesn't really seem to be aware that he's facing alot of mean ones

but I guess that's what you can expect from a hamster.

Thanks Wasker, and no, he's not aware of it at all. In my original sketch he was a terrified rabbit, but I preferred it this way.

Oh yeah, those colors and textures are working out very nicely in your EoW. One can't help but go "Ooooh" when looking at it. As a crit, I'd say to have the vines conform to the form of the statue a bit more. Right now they kind of float in front of the statue, since they don't bend and curve with its shape.
You have a very nice style. Keep it up!

Here's a quickie just to clear my mind. One of my older characters who I've never attempted a digital painting of before. It's Dr. Creedence, an aloof rabbit in a turtle shell, bent on world domination. Might finish it.
