Wow! Real cool stuff in here! Love it.
Some more random sketches.
All done with pen and pencil.
Then some had basic digital colour slapped under them too.

Hey I really like you style and the inks are nice. The airbrush piece the devil dude is awesome.
A few more new things. All airbrushed and relatively quick, approx. 4 hours for the Eastwood one (sorry about the blurry photo).

Love the clean lines, really appreciate the accurate likenesses, and I'm always happy to see Arnold.
You started to vary your line weights as the thread went on and those images are the ones that avoid being flat. If your hands were as expressive as the faces and all that great superhero musculature were propped up with some lifedrawing, you'd be unstoppable. Think Barry Windsor-Smith: muscular, graphic, but still organic and fluid.
Hope you post more!
Check out my Sketchbook and I promise I'll return the favor.
Hi Triffen,
Thanks for the crits. The hands and posture/lifedrawing comments are pretty spot on - both are weaker areas for me.

LAST UPDATE TONIGHT.
Not from my sketchbook, but on a Ford bonnet.
Some airbrushing progress shots.
Car is finished, but still need to get some good photos, as the clearcoat is so shiny that photos are difficult.

A few more pieces.
The pen and pencil on coloured paper aren't really sketches, as they are finished. Ones a V8 "petrolhead" skull and the other, a self portrait (of sorts).
Plus my next CARtoon in progress. Starting with the pen artwork I scanned and then the photoshop colours. More shading/detailing will be added.

Cool airbrushed pieces, and nice characters! Be careful with the head/neck joint, you should take a look at how it works. Anyway, great work in here. Keep at it!
m.j. - thanks for the kind words, my ego is growing.
Abrodos - Yeah, my anatomy is getting neglected lately. Need to use life and reference more.

Your artwork has a really strong comic presence, particularly the inking and the visual style, it looks great! Some things seem to go offkilter from time to time - the man by the demon girl (which looks great by the way) has eyes that are different sizes. Not sure if this was a style thing or not, but it seemed to stick out as eyes aren't really that far apart ^^;
Also the nose on 'Sodomy' looks like it's supposed to be profile, as you can only see the right nostril, whereas the view is mostly front view. Something about the right eye bugs me too, it feels as though it's slightly higher than it should be.
Do you have studies to show as well as finished line and colour comic pieces? Or even WIPS? Just out of curiosity
Aside from that, you've got some really awesome stuff here, keep it up!![]()
Jacklesbury - Thanks for the crits and comments. I agree with basically all the crits.
No working sketches or anything as these basically are my sketches. If they are wrong, they are wrong, no pre planning.
I basically just can't help but ink/pen everything I sketch - it's like an annoying ink addiction. Kinda frustrating because I need to loosen up more.
Anyway, thanks for the crits.

hey dude, you have a very unique style going on here. If i could think of a main crit it would be dont get too stuck in your niche,as great as your linework is a lot of your stuff gives me the feeling you arent pushing yourself out of the comfort box!
Keep drawing.

FootstepsBeckon - Spot on with that crit, I'm in a creative rut and just keep drawing to try and stay in practise. Alot of work and some inspiration needed.
Currently work alot of hours and have a completely empty head - creatively speaking.

Been a very long time, but (finally) here are a few updates.
Not sketches, but some airbrushing work.
All the work was been with automotive paint and freehand (ie: no stencils).
Anyway here it is. An old bonnet with self promo, a custom guitar paint job and a canvas that was painted at a car show infront of the crowds.

The drawing stuff looks awesome. Really nice and refreshing style, very graphic.
Even though you do it graffiti style, you might want to spend some time doing some painting studies from life just to get that into the same level as your drawing.
Thanks for commenting on my sketchbook. Your pen and ink work is definitely your strongest area, in my opinion, and the varied line weight gives it a nice dynamic feeling. I'm not very good at figures, so I'm afraid my suggestions will be a little vague, but there's something that seems a little off about the figures.
I think they seem a little stiff, where they're holding a certain pose, but the spine doesn't seem to be following the flow of the movement, if you get my meaning? Some of the proportions also seem very slightly off to my eye, generally the heads in relation to the bodies, I think.
I hope the feedback is of some use to you. Good luck.
