    Realistic Models as reference for drawing

    Hi,

    we are working on launching a product which we think could be useful to many. We would like to have opinions from artists about our product.

    To find out more please visit: http://www.hemshi.com

    if you could cast your vote, and even send us your opinions by email we would greatly appreciate it.

    It can be hard to find a real life model for certain projects, pictures or images may not always be a good reference and so we believe with our realistic dolls we may be able to help certain artists in their work.

    thanks for the time, Hemshi

    1. There are already many resources for artists for realistic nude reference (deviantart comes to mind, it's pretty good for reference)

    2. References for children are not usually needed as much, and interpolating muscle goups and proportions is easier from old -> young than the other way around

    and

    3. This line "Of course due to their realistic attributes, they can be used for many other needs and purposes..." is disturbing. Not only will people take your 'products' less seriously but since even the depiction of naked children is now illegal you may encounter some legal problems...

    Not interested.

    You'll always find someone who's willing to do something.
    Why the need for a mannequin?

    Reminds me of that Chuck Palahniuk short in Choke, where a child psychologist orders in two "child dolls" and everybody in her department starts having sex with them.
    As the pattern gets more intricate and subtle being swept along is no longer enough.

    I agree 100% with Rhineville. All the fact's are clearly made. For reference, photo's are the best way to capture a certain mood for a certain thing.

    Idiot, you just don't know enough about persuasion.

    I'm sure he was perfectly willing to be hacked to death by the other two and then eaten.
    Everyone knows that when someone has an apple over their mouth cries of 'Yes, eat me!' soon sound like cries of 'No, please, I don't want to die!', it's just how the muffling effect of a gag works.

    this seems to be a non negative reply or may be a misenterpration. We are aware that this may seem sick to many, however, we are thinking of their use in good ways. Of course what a person may find it useful for after purchase cannot be controlled.

    From the artistic point of view, thank you for the replies.

    As for the dolls, they are only dolls, therefore cannot see a real problem. But that is why we are asking for opinions, "the client is always right" is what is always said.

    be aware that we do plan on creating dolls such as aliens or any other type of humanoid form that could be of use to someone.

    I think the skeletal, muscular, etc layer dolls would be sweet. Unfortunately for you though, there are already a few manufacturers who make these. You can google it.

    Uhh.... It seems that shortly after introducing this site to CA, the site description has changed radically. To those who weren't here originally;

    The site talked about dolls who were very realistic, but were children. No mention of adult dolls for sale. What really seemed disturbing (as I already mentioned) was this line, which is now removed;

    "Of course due to their realistic attributes, they can be used for many other needs and purposes..."

    Hemshi, don't change the site, change what you're making. If you hide what your site does it's only going to catch up to you later rather than sooner...

    Yes, the site has changed drastically, but after some discussion and the opinions received from many people, we felt the way we were presenting our product was taking a wrong turn.

    As mentioned in early content, we are offering child dolls for the start, but we had also mentioned that we would be offering dolls of both adolescant and adult types, as well as any other kind requested, be it alien etc.. (humanoid forms).

    In our current site, we mention "Customized Dolls based on a clients requests".

    We had simply mentioned "realistic attributes" but realised that wasnt explicit enough and was being interpreted in various ways. Which is why we decided to change the way we present the doll with the "skeletal and muscalar system" and "heart and blood" replication as that is what we mean by realistic.

    The ideal model for using for reference to me would be using something like this...
    that would be able to pose in realistic poses. The muscle would change to appropriate shapes when limbs and body are moved. Plus the muscles could each be removed to be able to see how they and the muscles underneath connect.
