Congratulations and THANK YOU SO MUCH I'll be coming to this thread each time I doubt about what I want to do for a living.
Atlantean Anarchist is my favorite one. You're awesome and your work cheers me up!
This stuff looking great. Keep it up.
Papervampire: Thanks!
Andres333: Thanks, glad you find this sketchbook inspiring
Vatteh: Keeping it up!
Haven't been drawing a lot lately, been busy with freelance and other things. Here's something of mine that was published recently in Dragons Magazine #388 though. First gig for Wizards of the Coast so I was pretty excited about it.
I've also been working on a new car design project for a contest over at Local Motors, but since most of it is analog right now and I don't have a scanner nearby it'll have to wait until another update here I guess.

Great update man. Love the background on the elf pic. Can't wait to see those traditional car designs of yours!
great d&d pieces, especialy love the tiefling.![]()
LordVenom: Thanks! Here's a bunch of pages with stuff for that car design competition for you
Fetsch: Thank you!
I finally got around to scan some of the pages in my sketchbook for the car design competition I mentioned earlier. Since I somehow managed to make a sort of logic story in my sketchbook I'll just post the pages in order. It's a lot of reading at the beginning as that shows most of the research I did, but the last few pages have a lot more sketches going on as I started to figure out where I wanted to go with my design. I've filled a few more pages after I scanned these in, so this is only half the process so far.

i'm loving it
great to see your process, sometimes i like sketches even more than the final piece, because they show that you're trying to solve a problem
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I absolutely vole old car designs. I'm more taken by the T models, but i absolutely love the direction you went in with your more modern cars! Great update, please share more of your process work, this is what i love about sketchbooks![]()
Excellent work Guido!!
Really great job on the D+D designs (though to be honest I'm not sure about that elf - though if memory serves me correct their elves did often seem a bit too sharply featured).
However what I really love is how you've storyboarded your thought process behind the car designs (I may have to rob that method for my architectural designs in college next semester!). Excellent job on displaying so much information with such clarity!!
Keep up the great work!!!
Nice work! I love the layout for the car design!
andres333: Thanks!
LordVenom: Hehe yeah I appreciate the T-model too, but they were already rather obsolete in 1927 (hence the Ford A-model was introduced). Also, it's a car that was produced in large volumes while Local Motors only makes specialized cars in small series
MacTire: Yeh there's some pretty specific guidelines for the races in the D&D world.
SirCrazlot: Thank you!
Here's the rest of the process on my Local Motors entry! I finished it yesterday and it's up for voting now, so if you want you can go over here and vote on my entry

Anyway, one last page of sketches from my sketchbook, the rest is all Photoshop:

I do believe this is your 95,000th viewing. Gratz.
Great stuff as always man, really dig the colouring on the car concepts. Keep it up.

Jdeegz: Yep here they are! I was planning on posting them up too but I was too lazy to put them all together the other day
Stephen.Zou: Thanks!
ThomasM: Thank you!
Droid: 95.000 pageviews? zomgNever really cared about the pageviews so much here, but thanks anyway.
So here are the process shots of the front- and back renderings of the car for those interested. I figured it'd be nice to keep track of my own process here to see where I can improve/speed up for next time.

The CRIMSON DAGGERS
Hey guido, looking sexy mang!
Those are some gorgeous illustration. I really love the step by step process in your last post, it's great to see how you use perspective and how you changed the design a bit.
Dang man, those are HAWT.
wow man... love ur design sense... really well designed and thought out... especially ur line art... love the medieval feel to it... could ya check my sketchbook and help me improve...
Daaaaamn. That is some nice concept work, Guido! I loved reading through the sketchbook pages and the sketches themselves are gorgeous. The finished presentation is awesome! Congratulations.
I'm really glad I bumped into this thread this morning. Your drawings are so inspiring. My only crit would be that you could go around the drawings with a little bit of eraser. This is a really interesting and different Sb here in Ca and i hope you'll keep it that way in the future. Five stars from me too.
Hmh, I know why I haven´t been around CA a lot lately. Your progress is filling me with envy
Great stuff, Guido!

Hey Yoitisi,
your stuff looks great! I really enjoy seeing your work progress from the initial drawing to a finished piece. It's awesome to see how an artist works through the various stages of a piece! Thanks for sharing your work!

Mat: Thanks dude, long time no see!
Jelle: WooooOOO
LordVenom: Hehe thanks! Yeh looking back now I'm quite horrified by how the first digital sketches look though
Metal Fingers, syk3, cl0aked: Thanks!
Placeboast: Thanks for that comment, I made those sketches on a rather bright screen and the fluff around the edges doesn't show up usually.
Fipse: Hehe well I'm glad because otherwise you might've come down here and slaughtered me with one of your medieval weapons already![]()
heidamonster, raminafshari, Sweron: Thanks!
Time for a small update! I finally had some spare time this weekend to work on a new pin-up for the blog contest:
The contest is still open for a few days, everyone can enter so give it a shot if you have time! It's mainly just for fun but there's a small prize for the winner. You can find the contest here:
Not Your Father's Pin-up Contest!
Also, pigs! I drew these as a warm up to one of the jobs I did the past few weeks, it was for a exploratory session about pig farms in the future. Had to do these from my mind as I didn't have any ref with me unfortunately. Top one is from the first day, other one is from the second day.
