A matter of choices, a matter of time.

I only started back sketching a week ago. I used to draw everyday last year before I graduated high-school. So instead of digging out my old books and scanning all those damned anatomy sketches, I just scanned what I have done this week and some slightly older stuff.

Oh and a quick painting from last night.

Im gonna try to get some real life drawing done. Also, im going to go hit the ol' Bridgeman again for some more anatomy practice. I got to work on linework, lighting, perspective, proportion, and lots more.

Well we all need more studies, so take heed in the fact that you will be doing them ad infinitum!

Anyway you know what to do, and I'll just add one thing - you still have scribble lines, try to draw long flowing lines the next time you make a piece. The faster you get a confident powerful line of your own the better, and you might as well start right now

    updateage

dan liimatta-thanks for the tip. I tried to keep from 'petting' my lines this time, and tried to make as little strokes as possible. Hopefully my lines look a bit cleaner and stronger now.

Started off with some blind contours of objects around my room.

Then some notes taken from Bridgemen about the process of drawing a figure, sorry if its too small to read, but i just wanted to show that I did it.

Now some notes and drawings about proportion and the major masses of the figure.

Sorry there isnt much here, but im still going to keep updating when I can.

Nice studies on the body masses. I'm learning from bridgeman too and getting a lot out of it.

first spartan drawings (just wait till 300 hits dvd), kinda little bit my take on them mixed with Mr. Miller's style. Mostly Millers though.
