This piece started off as a speedpainting that got out of hand; I don't usually paint non human characters, so this was quite the challenge. A lot of time went on to create his expression, I wanted his torment to be obvious. This is also a lot darker and much different than my previous works.

I like it. Just like what liquidjack above me said, the time was well spent. I just feel that you could have possibly refined the entire image, especially his face so that the expression is more revealing/convincing. But this is good work.

Stark: Thanks for your critique; I'm trying to opt to a more loose style, not sure if I succeeded. I do agree I could have worked on his expression a bit more. I get a lil lazy

I feel this is a great foundation for the next step!
If you could push this even more so it looks more sophisticated without having too much obvious photoshop layers, I think it is going to be fantastic!

Whatever you do I hope you don't give a massive change on the face.
It truly is your main attraction of this piece!

wow, not usually my kind of artwork-but this is super cool-love the textures and the light, this is beauty in horror for sure
