your portraits are definitely getting stronger. I think the bigger picture right now is:
-Full body Gestures
-Full Body Anatomy
-Drawing from Life: tea cups, people at coffee shops

Hey Maerrick. Thanks for the comment and advice. I plan on taking a figure drawing class in the Spring. For now I have some small statues I can use to practice from. I also plan on painting still lifes with oils.

Good start to your sketchbook my friend. I agree with the poster above: try and do some more life drawing. I would recommend just taking your sketchbook literally everywhere you go and draw whatever the hell's in front of you at any given time. You'll develop your hand/eye coordination and it carries over into sketching from your head, too. Also, values are too stuck in middle gray area. Try and up the contrast and don't be afraid about going to dark. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend getting your hands on The Practice and Science of Drawing by Harold Speed. Take care!
