Hello, I lurk a lot on Concept Art before and so I decided to open my own topic of sketches and scribbles that I will hopefully update once in a short while. Comments and critque is ofcourse welcome.

Some muscle studies from a book named Anatomy for the artist by Sarah Simblet (I got the Dutch edition though). Hopefully after the weekend more sketches.

Darn, did'nt made my promise. I had a small period where I did'nt draw much, ah well here's a update. I just need to get the hang of It again...

The first one is some quick drawing from still life at my desk the other day and yes I have that Cammy figure.

The second is a shadow perspective excersise I did for school.

Keep doing, what you are doing everyday. That's the secret. Sketching is to the artist what shadowboxing is the the boxer, or playing the piano to the pianist. You get the idea. Do it all of the time.

Hey DARAF, thanks for the comment! I will keep that in mind and try to help remember myself to that.

Beginning to take environment more and more seriously. I love ancient buildings, especially Roman buildings. This sketch is done with a reference of a Roman church (It's a WIP). Though, I adjusted some points to my own. Some points where frustrating, but I learned at least from it.

I like the recent perspective studies, they appear quite solid compared to the perspective from mind you did earlier on somewhere in February (or posted there at least).

Psychodude: Thank you, I will try to get a hang of perspective as much as I can. Drawings are going to look better with a good understanding of perspective after all.

So, here is the inked and coloured version. The scan is poorly since the paper size is 26 x 36 cm and my scanner is for A4 scans.

Another perspective drawing, this time without reference in 2 point perspective. Did'nt want to cast sunlight because I thought for now it will only get too complex at the moment. I started with a grid and drew randomly blocks and played around with It.

Some bone study. These can come in handy to make abstract alien stuff now I look back at it.

I googled some images from eyes, lips and ears and use them as a reference to study them.

A quick update this time.

First one is from life and a study of an edged cube.

The second is done from http://www.posemaniacs.com/blog except the head on the very left.

Third is googled, a shaking hand which was from a drawing and a manequin head photo.

The castle ruin is from http://www.castlewales.com/listings.html I don't know anymore which one I picked. It's not finished though and I don't think I will finish it for now either.

Some arm studies, the crosshatching is hard to understand. I made an animated GIF as a reminder how it works and what changes the most within this aspect. I scanned it from a anatomy book by Louise Gordon.

I try to focus more on the head and to draw it in different styles then I'm used to. It all looks boring to me for now, so gonna practice only heads from mind and reference for now till i'm a bit more satisfied.

Also some rock studies I did today. Never thought a rock could be so shapeful. Only 2 rocks used and changed angels per drawing.
