Thought you guys might be interested. The download is a bit slow right now so I haven't tried it yet, but it's been compared to zBrush. CBModel Pro beta

wow this looks pretty sweet, thanks for the heads up...5.5kb/s? gah!
I'm pretty much used to Blender 3D, never made anything spectacular with it, but I'm used to it. I sometimes get a little frustrated by one or two things in it.
How's this compare to Blender 3D?
(Downloading it anyway, ~8.0kb/s, sometimes goes up to about 14kb/s.)
EDIT: Hmm, this is pretty swanky, but for some reason I'm too silly to work out how to change the orientation of objects themselves.
Anyone know? It's probably blindingly obvious.
It also seems I can't just get to make a simple mesh.

I've given it a try, and as someone who's never done any proper 3d work before, it's very easy to use.
Click on the X, Y or Z buttons at the side of the screen, or just press those keys on the keyboard.Originally Posted by Rhynome
I think the help file implied that you needed to make a mesh in another program then import it. I don't know what the proper term is for it, but it's not the same type of program as Blender. It also seems I can't just get to make a simple mesh.

Aha, not true. That seems to move your perspective; not the orientation of the object.Originally Posted by Number_6

Must be a way.
There's a button just below and to the right of the XYZ perspective buttons. It's right next to the move button.Originally Posted by Rhynome

Oops, I thought that was just another perspective button, what a silly muffin I am.
Thank you awfully, awfully.
Wait a sec. It says that a 3D mesh exported from the program will be triangular.
What happened with quads? Oh and it leads on after the 15 day beta to just sign up and it can be used free of charge. Please tell me this will be free like blender...
Edit::Actually yeah. This s a good program to experiment with, but it's nothing compared to Z brush and mud box. For now at least, I guess.
