I like the last one the best, you read dark tower the comic yet? He reminds me of the gunslinger. Great comic!

    Thanks, man.

I didn't know there was a Dark Tower comic so I googled it. It looks good. I'll have to pick it up.

Thanks, Cold Revolver. I appreciate the comments.

Actually, this is about a month's worth of sketches. I've been meaning to set up a sketchbook since the beginning of the year.

I finally got serious and scanned everything in one seating so the updates will be a little slower from now on.

    Nice work here.

Your hatching is great, and I like your concepts. It would be cool to see some more fleshed-out ideas, full body references with backgrounds and whathaveyou.

Your robotic things are pretty neat too

it's never too late to post some colour work, too! I myself have just recently gotten into studying colour theory. It's a bitch but it's well worth it

    Keep it up!

Your pencil work is faantastic man, I was wondering do you use a lead holder or a hard lead pencil?

No worries about coloring right now amigo, If you can though practice coloring traditional, anyone who can master markers/paints/pencils will get some brownie points in an interview. Ill be watching.

bunny: I'm working on a color piece so I'll be posting that soon. And, some of these sketches will become final pieces as well. Thanks for the great suggestions!

Revolver: I use a Sanford Design Ebony pencil almost exclusively. I'll use a mechanical pencil occasionally. Thanks for the comments.

oh yea man these are nice pencils, you have an elegance when you draw...super nice.
ONE thing that i could suggest is varying your lineweight a bit more but thats
    a stylistic thing, very subjective.

    keep it up dude!!

    Thanks, Don-Key.

I do need to pay more attention to my line weight.

    Here's an update.

One of my first color pieces....this one was tough, worked on it forever and now it's just overworked but here it is, warts and all.

Really great start to your sketchbook. I like the faces in your characters and creatures they show a good amount of emotion. I really liked the stuff from post #3 esspically the one creature. The only thing I would say would be maybe to push your contrast a little more in some of the characters, some of the detail doesn't pop out as much and more of blends in. You seem like your getting your anatomy as well, keep pushing... also the color stuff is awesome, like the parrot a lot...want to see more, keep posting.

hey , great SB so far. The way you use contrast in your strokes and overall drawing is really interesting, everything looks firm and soft at the same time
can i ask you the type of paper and pencil you use ? keep it up, will be hanging around

Thanks for stopping by and for the comments, WhiteC.

I use a Sanford Design Ebony pencil. As for paper, it's a Canson Sketchbook; 65# paper. Hope that answers your questions.

You've got a nice sketchbook, by the way.
