    Military Question

Just a quick question regarding the 'British army' or U.S army. Is there still a rascism issue in the service? I know the army allows foregin citizens to join their army (if they've lived there for more than 4 years) but do the fellow soldiers tolerate it?

UK Armed Forces, never heard of any racism there, after all, look at the Gurkhas (Nepalese).

Don't know about in depth though, or about the US Armed Forces.

Well, as far as I know, the U.S. Army still has humans in it. So,yes, there is racism. As long as umans are involved you will have those trappings. Is it as bad as it may have been at some point? Probably not. And, I'm sure the bulk of racism is focused on the enemy.

The US military is probably the most integrated and diverse institution in American society.

that being said i just saw a report on the news (i think it was bbc world) where they talked about gangs sending some of their members to learn urban warfare. that, and white suprematist graffiti on the walls in cities in iraq. i don't know how (un)common it is but talk about surreal...

Agreed. I didn't really see any racism per say, more like groups of people with common interrests which at times may have been only individual to that ethnic group.
