great stuff coming in, man. I especially like your acrylic piece. I like all that action going on with the background. Lots of transparencies and stuff. Can't wait to see more - especially portraits/figures!

@Vulgar`- Thanks man for the tips. indeed more meat.
Besides... "How can you have any pudding if you don’t eat your meat? ... If you don’t eatcher meat, you can’t have any pudding!"
@staticpen- Hey man, glad you dig the acrylic painting...I was worried for a bit that I got rusty and couldn't handle a real paintbrush. I think I might mess with some gesso in the next painting. Yup...got alot of portraits heading this way. No more stalling in that area.
So I got alot of cool stuff in the mail recently. Lot's of art supplies and paper and sketchpads so I'm ready to roll out lot's of stuff. Got my bags almost fully packed for my little vacation this upcoming week to New York...been almost nine years since I've been there...thats far too long for me. Anyway, once I get back the rest of this year I just really want to nail down a good solid rounded portfolio and finally send my work to studios all around the states...hell...if not the world. I just want to get out there now. My college years are about winding down so I'm looking forward to getting out there. So...hehe...I'll be flying red eye for the first time on a plane...chances are you'll see alot of plane sketches when I come back. I can't sleep on planes lol
So more updates later for this week. Got another environment thing for the time being. This one is really rough but I think I could push it further...sorta has potential.

Cool SB!!!
I like the environments the most.
Hey, thanks for visiting my SB from time to time and for the nice words. I really appreciate that.
Keep up the good work!
Cheers!
Nice one, sir. The snowy one. It kind of reminds me of this one picture I saw for the Guild Wars: Nightfall thread. Which... is a good thing. haha.![]()
Hey guys...I'm back!
@luness -Dude your stuff just rocks! No prob, I love you work and thanks for the kind words.
@staticpen-The work from Guild Wars is sooooo awesome. Thanks for the compliments![]()
Had a great time back East and got to visit some relatives and old friends. Got to see my old town also in New Jersey. Very nostalgic visiting those places and I had a good time in the city and at the shore. Got to go to the "Metropolitan Museum of Art" which was just jaw dropping. Practically got to see everything thing there. Hands down the best art museum ever that I had went to...EVER!!! I could spent weeks on ends in there staring at the likes of works from Degas, Van Gogh, Monet, Dali, Renoir, Sargent...and oh so many more that the list would go on for pages...hell...that's just scratching the tip of the iceberg...that place would send any archaeologist's head spinning with all the sculptures and artifacts from hundreds of different civilizations in there. Everybody I think should go there it least once or twice.
Really had a awesome time and had some damn fine food and real pizza. I'm going on diet now![]()
Got myself a good beach hat also at the shore that I'll probably wear all the time now. I used to wear one a lot when I was alittle kid.
I'm still alittle out of wack with the time zones being back in the West Coast with the three hour time difference. I did some drawings though in my handy little Moleskine book while out there.

Pen sketches form life! The best, man. I particularly enjoy the plane sketch.
But yeah... you can't get better pizza than what you get up there. I was recently visiting my Dad's hometown, Binghamton NY. Sharkey's Speedies for the win!
Keep bringing that trashalicious guano to the table.

@AA-ron Thanks man and yeah I had a real blast.
staticpen- Man I swear I can still taste that sweet pizza in my mouth
New York really is great. Got to take the subway also to a couple of spots.
...that flight on the plane was soooooo long.
@Vulgar` I'll keep it coming and I'll also bring along a bag of some tasty and chewy junky chips to the table
@Yautja892 Hey there! Thanks for the cool words. It was great to do alittle vacation time. I didn't take photos inside...your not really supposed to...except I did sneak two in of one of the main halls lol-

Nice shading in the ballpen sketches!!
I recommend you to change the link in your signature to the most current page, so people won't see the old stuff
Looking forward to your new portrait!
Really nice stuff Trashy, very nice use of color and value. Your life studies also look great, that's something i need to do more of. Keep going with the anatomy studies, i look forward to seeing more
Yeah, like howie said: great digistuff! I really like how you use the brushes and colors. Keep em coming! Anatomystudies are always useful.. so same here
Fantastic sketchbook!! I'll keep an eye on it![]()
Nice stuff here. you worked a lot! Maybe you could choose some sketch and make it in more advanced work... I really like the rough, fast environment sketch at #187. Why don't you try to make an illustration with this "style"?

Nice progress of the portrait Trashy, overall nice use of brushwork here in your sb.
Looking forward for more.
Love the eyes in the last one. The face seems a little flat though?

@psantha- Thank you so much for the cool words. I'm really happy that you say I am improving.
@Verehin- Glad you digg the environments. I'll keep them coming more often...think I got a knack for them and didn't realize it.
@Zeitwolf- I just realized how insanely huge and dumb the type was on the first page. I sorta figure some like to see from the beginning so I think it might be good to keep at page 1 now that I think of it. Thanks for the for words and swinging by
@Howie-Cheers man. Life studies are the best!
@Autumnal Dream Cool man and thanks for the comments. I'll keep it rolling
@anjin-Thanks man. I am thinking of doing one from the recent sketches into a more complete illustration. Which one where you thinking of in 187#. Thanks again for coming by.
@Lyno- Thanks
@()nion I think I got the eyes best. About the face, a good friend at college pointed it out. The left side of the face is missing the values the right side has. I made some corrections to it. Yeah, it was still off some. I should post that up]
One more environment for the time being. I'll get alot of time this weekend to post more up.

The portrait came out nice, mate. Really liking the washy colors in the lower corners. The enviro looks legit, too! Lots of messy goodness in there, heheh. I've really got to get back on those... @__@
I love the enviros you've been doing lately. Lots of atmosphere.

Hey guys,
@staticpenThanks man. Yeah, environments can be a real blast to do if you get into the groove of it.
@crazy3dman- I'm always happy to hear words like that. I'll keep pushing those environments.
@AA-ron-Thanks
little post here. I got another portrait I'm starting on so updates will follow on there. Think some more anatomy studies sounds good too.

Oh, gorgeous! I dig it, man. Lots of mood in this one. Actually looks kind of like an enviro I tried the other night... but it was major suckage, so I trashed it, hahaha. You did a great job here, though. About how long would you say this took you?
Looking forward to more portraits and figures!
@staticpen-Hey man, I'd say I spent roughly 2 hours on that one. I'd love to still see that environment you were working...hehe.
Alright one more environment I had to get out of the way. I really wanted to do the eow so I did this today. Okay...back to the portrait.
