    Drizzt Do'Urden

Hi, I am new here and i'm amazed to see so much cool stuff around!

I like drawing but I do not have much time with school and other stuff, so weeks can pass before I draw, so...my drawings are not so good and do not progress enough but ...hah...

Some drawings on this thread are maybe some years old so...Well, by the way I am 17 years old now ^^

Thanks for your time if you take a look at my works, I would really like advices, so don' bother to be harsh on the critics,I want to progress, THANKS..

    Here 's a small watercolor...

Real nice... never could do much with aquarells myself. So congrats on the pieces, I know it`s a hard medium :] you`re 16 so all I can say is don`t stop drawing, just keep going and chase goals.

Sometimes after school I go to a drawing academy here in brussels, but it really sucks! (not always but...)and so, sometimes there is a guy posing. Here is an ink that I made a year ago, one of my few inks. It always makes me laugh because the guy who posed was very... effeminate, maybe it comes out of the drawing as well! ......

Here is a pastel I drew for the cover of a book. The story was about aliens creating "bumps" in the earth near a lonely house.I know it sucks but ah well...Who doesn't make sacrifices for drawing

So why did you label this thread Drizzt? I thought there was some fan art of the best fantasy character ever

I do like the watercolours though.

Smokey186: sorry for the confusion, it never was my intention to attract people with a cool name, the thing is that I just read The dark elf trilogy and now Icewind Dale trilogy. I really love those books and am a fan of drizzt. When searching for a name it is the first thing I though of. Sorry for the trouble.

    I really like this http://www.conceptart.org/forums/att...1&d=1170177760

The water and the transition in colour as it rises are great.

    More!

I really don't know the name of this plant in English, but I'll say it in French: nenuphars. Well, in any case I wanted to experiment the same subject first in oil then in watercolor and finally in pastel.(I chose this subject to please my mum cause she is mad at me when I draw something else than flowers or landscapes...) hope you like them.

How'd you like working with pastel. It's the only color medium I can work with.

Hideo Murasaki: I like to first put the basic color and then put my hand on it to make it blurred, then while working I keep blurring the pastel touches less and less to make them stand out more

In the last months in the academy my teacher started to be crazy like (sorry if there are art teachers) every art teacher. He wanted me to make strange forests and incorporate afterwards dolls! It is uncommon but I still like them, and you...(if not it is normal)

Me again posting some stuff, here are some sketches of landscapes in oil, each one took me 20 minutes, I was just playing to try out different ways to lay out paint, and different approaches with the brush, hope you enjoy...oh crap I forgot, biology test tomorrow (f****) saying to the teacher I was drawing and forgot time passing by (poetic, no?) isn't a proper excuse, is it?
