damn dude. i love the guy sitting all hooked up with wires....but, i like the sketch better than the colors! and i like his mouth better in the first sketch. i dont know..maybe there isnt enough contrast in the character? same thing for the the little girls face..but i really love the overall images. a lot

Delmar, your linework has so much expression in it. Great movement, energy - yet you still manage to deliniate form so well. You really communicate so much with a well-turned line.
Loved the early work in the sketchbook, so by page 12, eyes nearly popped out. To see how far you've managed to push it with colour is nothing short of inspiring. I'm just new in town, so you'll seem me back here often: to see where you go next and when in need of a little inspiration. Thanks for sharing your talents.

awesomeness, dude! i think you are losing a bit of contrast in this latest update tho?
maybe turn it to grayscale mode for a second and check the values?
the dark background versus his lit up face was better, than his bright face versus the bright background as it is now, in my opinion.
    keep the updates comin!

Nice stuff in here! I like your loose sketches. Just the odd time some of your character's poses seem to be a lil stiff, but with the sketches they dont seem to be a problem. Im wondering if this is lost in the rendering process? Anyhoo... Good work! Rock on!

Those are some really interesting brushes! I'll have to play around with my brush settings and see if I can get some equally interesting strokes.

Koto, Dekal, drd....thanks a lot guys!

Bendragon....Thanks....and yeah, as I'm not that confident in coloring I tend to overwork some of my stuff. I'll do my best to keep them fresh.!

Here'S a piece I started on yesterday.....kind of stuck in the colorscheme again...we'll see...hehe. and a sketchy girl.

suggestions and critics would be great.

    Love your sketchbook!
Great style! Your faces are awesome!

Your skteches and doodles are very dark and moody so I was surprised when I saw those bright colors!

I liked that dark background better on that burning-head-guy but I see where you're coming from.

I feel adventure in the last one!
    Thank you for sharing. =)

coldrum.....oh man, thank you so much! Great to see you here, big fan of
    your work!

Flaskpost...Hey Lars, I'm happy too! hehe

MatejaPetkovic...thaks a lot! Checked out your SB! You are insane !!!
    Great stuff!!

corpsey....hehe, don't know what to say to that but thank you! hehe

    Movenski.....Glad you like it, thanks!

DDK248....Thanks man ! Really appreciate it.

luness....no no, thank you sir! always a pleasure knowing you're arround.

I had the absolutely great pleasure to have my portfolio reviewed by Jason Manley and John English last weekend.
It was soooooo great and helpfull, not only to here the crits on mine but
also watch all the others getting crits and suggestions on their pieces.
Man this a teaching method right up my alley..learned so much.
And I'm really happy they liked some of my stuffman i swear my heart was in my pants....
.....however Jason suggested to get some more sophisticated character design stuff in my portfolio....

....So here is some work from the last days amongst others a characterdesign for a futurecrossbowsoldier (yeah, i know)
....minor update on the skyrider, I'm not sure about that piece , and other fun stuff......they all need still some finishing and touch ups.

    Back to the drawing board!
