Andrés, very good drawings indeed. I guess that some of them say a lot about your political inclinationsI think that drawing from the mind is great, so I hope you the best in that area, as you already are rocking in this one.
What I like more about them, is the shading, that you made in all of them. Usually I'm too lazy to shade, and anyway, I couldn't possibly do it like that in so many drawings.
Obviously your practice in drawing and shading shows a lot in your illustrations, wich are great. I see that you're integrating 3d in the deal, it looks very good and gives you time to worry about the things that really matter. I've been using 3d in some drawings too, and also custom brushes. Both are great tools, that I'm loving more and more.
Cheers, and felices fiestas for you too (sorry, it's a little late, but anyway... ).
muahahhaha, the Couch drops by for a surprise visit after many many months of long absence! Dude, your pencil rendering is improving so much, wonderful stuff man. You've got so much stuff in your sketchbook...I wish I can push myself to do more haha, but man, I just wanna chill after getting back from work.........
So, what's been going on with life???????

Long overdue update and replies.
Diego - Thanks for the tip man and the reminder, need to pay more attention to those.
Gringo - Gracias pana, espero poder seguir dandole mas y no perderme tanto.
Jakers - That's indeed some very helpful information. I do know what you mean with looking at other people sketches and thanks to the remainder. Will look into applying those in the next ones.
Bushido - gracias por la sugerencia. That's something I haven't realized when I go deep into pencil drawings, especially when using higher softer lead like 7-8Bs. Unfortunately, for the moment I have like 5 new A4 sketchbooks of the same type to actually change paper. Still, that's a good advice and will apply when working on bigger paper.
DIMAGYAN - Yup man, imagination work is my strongest flaw and I have been scared of facing it from time to time. Would keep that advice in mind from now on.
`ej - Thanks man, you too keep it up.
lennon - gracias lennon!
CouchPotato- WHERE ARE YOU MAN??!!! I know this is like from January lol, but haven't seeing you on MSN for about a year, time surely flies. Will send you a PM to catch up some.
Between being busy with other stuff, lazyness in scanning, computers problems and fixes, etc etc. Here is some stuff I have been doing during the past few months. Nothing original, mainly from pictures with pencil on A4 paper. Dang, haven't touch my tablet in months... and somehow I got stars here, who have thought. Here is some faces and other stuff, will post the rest soon.

massive update man!I think you need to practice more on the planes of the figure (and face) before you dive into rendering. I like what I'm seeing though,

Wasker - I see what you mean, I have seen an approach like that. Thanks, I will try out
Some more stuff from the past months...

A couple more.
A big charcoal drawing.
And a bit more recent from an oil painting class I was taking. It's from a picture provided by the professor and since the professor basically didn't want us to screw up the painting on our own, we could only work on it during class time. So it's quite unfinished because of that. Didn't quite agree with that, but I will get to finish it on my own time.

Maestro, my man! Awesome latest updates, loving the traditional work from you
Those renderings are looking super sweet, especially the hair on most of them. I could also recognize plenty of famous faces in there, so good job on getting the likeness!
The portrait of the kid is also really tight, very good pencil work there. Definitely keep this going on, I'm sure you'll improve loads with this steady pace. Keep rocking it!

Hola Maestro, tienes una facilidad increíble con el lápiz, unos trabajos muy buenos sí señor...
Esperando ver más cosas.
Really amazing you're working hard, keep it up!
LOADS of studies man, loads

Some really nice improvement on figure drawing. I like the poses and you've made progress on shading and definition of volume.
BUT
Faces just don't work. To be more specific they are a bit unstructured, some of them even suffer from symmetry issues, and generally they not really look three dimensional (lighting issues). But the thing that ruins almos every one is the eyes. No offense, man, but human eyes doesn't look like you tend to render them. What you usually draw is the symbolic eye (the almond shape with the circle in it) but real eyes look totally different. You can find tons of tutorials on this subject. Check them (here's a good one from Linda Bergkvist in the tutorial section)!
Maybe you just use too many contur lines. You almost always draw the upper and lower contour of the eyes, the upper and lower contour of the lips, bottom and side(!?!) contour of the nose. And those contour lines aren't varied in thickness (which would be essential to make the drawings more interesting and easy to read).
Well. You used to draw Loomis studies. Don't stop doing them! You can't learn the correct rendering and - which is the most important - the structure of the human head by copying photos.
I think I saw Jason Manley among the portraits.
Hmm...the thing is you should use a skeletal structure (like the ones Loomis uses) to start off of. You draw straight with the last (and only, in your case) process which is detailing. No. You have to put all the details on a well measured structure. It's like a cat without a skin, all mushy. Hope that helped.
