your ceatures are amazing...
thanks blacktwang
it's based on a little known character called "the black mask", who's upbringing was almost identical to bruce wayne's, yet instead of learning to take control of his feelings and help. Black mask, took it on himself to strike fear into others in another method, bulling and gangs. the black mask plans to unite both the russians and Salvatore Maroni's gang into one under his control.
(ps, this weeks chow is batman villains in the current movie universe that haven't been in the movies already.

Awsum update! Love your work!
appreciate it glory
was alittle pissed this morning so this piece is a little more... harsh strokes., thicker and solider shapes.
a monster with clothing?? blasphemy! I need to work on my fashion design, both for creature and character.

Love the style of your latest. Nice work.
Hey great stuff, I love your last piece. Your understanding of color is great.
About the other one, the skull guy, I didn't like that much, the body looks weird. I think you should have drawn a spatter in his pants close to his shoes (as his arms are to short to grab his johnson, I though that it would have been a nice detail)--I'm just kidding.
Your SB is great.
I just looked through your SB from the first page - My brain exploded with inspiration somewhere half way - Damn, some of you guys have such exciting sketchbooks! Can I ask how long the demon in black and white on the second page took, post 34. Cheers![]()

Mr. Gadbury, that was so long ago im not sure, back then im sure it took longer than i could have now, probably like 6 hours?
Decided I wanted to customize my desktop background after customizing my psp's background.

I think your monster has some good taste in threadsawesome work
on post #1060 i think it could use a lil more done to it. Maybe put the words creator of the lvl 10 hell bear? But in all seriousness i think it could use some more davi love.
"Good composition is sort of like pornography. You know it when you see it. "
yah i was thinking the same thing kaffin, about the more tuff, not the lvl 10 bear
i know you liked the idea of leveling up stuff, but i really found it more restrictive in the design, if i completely restarted the piece the designs would be more interesting.
Hey now! That monster with clothing definitely shows some serious change to the monster world! You should make an entire world based on that one drawing... it spawns so many ideas for me lol!
Like always, you have a cool style. And it never hurts to have a little story behind your work.
Keep on going! You're doing great!

The CRIMSON DAGGERS
just woke up, had some painter software issues, had to full reinstall the program, did some faces to test it...
not sure if vista is my issue or what but in painter when im like half an inch off the surface my "brush ghost"/cursor lags from position to position, it's a issue that is going to kill my process but it's noticeable enough to be annoying... guess ill have to get used to it.

I love the head on the bottom and in the middle, how you can see each individual patch of color...but it still looks like a uniform shape. I want to get to that level with my work soon.
thanks crash, here is another piece i did yesterday,

This last creature is solid. The weight of his upper body is really coming through, and maybe could be even stronger if you showed that weight pressing down onto its front feet. The texture is really working well for you too. It feels studied, not just random. Good work.
awesome work on the last one, I have followed this thread for a long time but have never felt I had anything useful to say...
Anyways it might be too late to change this but the torso seems to short... but the texturing is awesome on it and the way you incorporated human-ish muscles into it is neat nice stuff in here overall I miss the traditional mediums though...

congrats on the job man
this looks really controlled, which I like. I think it's a favorite of mine from the last few pages.
this last one's feet don't seem quite attached, cool upper body though![]()
It makes me both sad and inspired to look at your sketchbook lol!!
Keep up the good work. I'll get there in time ;D

The CRIMSON DAGGERS
I fixed this guy up some more. Hope the process will clear up SOME of how i go about making a creature from my head.
Basically start simple and loose enough so you can play from your randomness... and after playing for a bit.. tighten it up into something focus'd.
"I'm moving to Louisiana this week. This guy will be my protector from all ill-will. Although he does not have thumbs to help me carry boxes, he can stab people in the face... Pretty helpful in the right types of situations!"
always been a fan of your creatures , man. but wow your creature concepts jumped to a whole new level since I last checked here.
specially love the sharkguys and that last two. sexy skintexture. on the fourlegged critter his left front leg doesn't look like its connected to the body though. might be just a bit too straight up.
anyway you made me try creatures again today so keep doing these.
monotony, glad to hear you started doing creatures
thanks for the crits and compliments too!
here's a fashion 'concept', struggled through some things i probably shouldn't have. took longer than i had wished.

looks good but the body and especially the arms feel stiff.
Keep on rocking Davi and good luck (and congratulations)!
See you around!

thanks hurri, maybe some day my humans will feel natural
Btw, this is from a reference, but i scaled up a certain feature... hope people notice it more as a styled caricature of female anatomy.

I liked the colours you used on the last one!
Wish I could pick such colours without colour-picker!
