    ok
I must say I have been using both yours and zhuzhu's brushes the most. Love them.
Got another quick question. What canvas size do you usually work on? When I go yo big, it seems to lag a bit...

Hi there, really fine monsters you have, but human clothes/equipment could benefit from some studies, that interstellar armour guy looks too simple-symmetrical (equipment does not broke silhouette, or shape)
    more stuff please!

thanks for the Nettle_Mountain, i'll try to think of that for my future designs.

After playing too much Mass Effect 2 over that past few weeks, I figured I would take a crack at using my inspiration to create a new race-design for the series.

For those who know the game, this character is based on the infiltrator class, and would be able to create hologram decoys of herself to distract the enemies within the game. If she were in the game she would be an extremely rare species and often claimed by travels as a bad omen when seen. This character is attracted to asari and drell species but not humans.

I call the character Kayhana and the species Sanlith.

Groovy, staple thread for understanding how painting more can help so much.

your process from light gray (almost like it was drawn with those pain in the ass prisma pens) to full fledged values and hard tones.

    Morvanger

The Idea of this creature is that it Travels the deserts and slowly follows animals(and humans) who look like they are faint of life. The creature attacks only when the prey is weakened to the point where it cannot defend itself.

Each victim it consumes is turned into an acidic sap that it stores into column-like sacs on it's back, which will the Morvanger will explode if every attacked. Desert Tribes sometimes worship the Morvanger's as they believe they are walking graveyards that ferry the dead between worlds. Some of these fanatics will send their elderly out to search for Morvanger's to shepard them to their afterlife.

That Morvanger is awesome. There's a lot of cool rendering everywhere, but my favorite are the chitinous legs. They've got some sort of translucence or specular thing going on I can't quite put my finger on.

I also want to get out of the south soon, so good luck on that.

    Hey Davi,
I just had to check out what that "waskley wabbit" was up to! I'm glad I did; you've got some great concept art goin' on here. Good creature design! Keep up the good fight and read my quote; it will all make sense!

davi that last desert creature is awesome. the acidic sacs on its back make it look like it would be right at home in miyazaki's nausicaa world. beautiful textures on there too bro. i wish i could think of using brushes like you did for the hair on the back. i probably would have wasted a bunch of time drawing in each hair that i wanted.

Hi davi, i like to see more monster approach like in 1499, where monster is put in perspective (feet) and is having more imaginative pose (overlapping?), and feet are not just in straight line. Doing straight makes it seem flat so just wanted to say this, cheers.
