Phew, what a SB! When you say quickies, what amount of time are you referring to?

your ability to render environments quickly is stunning and you have a good eye for
mood and atmosphere as well as colors.

If I were to give you crits, it would mostly be about tackling characters and figures.
Do you find the time to draw from life a lot? If you were to translate your environment
skills and quality to your figures, I think you would certainly rise to new levels.
Just my humble opinion

Your environments are gorgeous! Some of them look so effortless, but I know from recent experimentation how much understanding of shape and light is needed! Beautiful.

Sorry I haven't been here since you're first post...so many subscribed sketchbooks and awesomeness, I forgot to subscribe to yours...

Anyway, post #129 is fuckin nice. The atmosphere to the piece is really engaging. Your last update has a nice sense of scale to it. The building and background really work for the overall composition.

As for the brush, it locked up after I was using that square brush. :/ It's ok, I've been starting to make my own brushes. I still use yours for stuff, really like those urban texture brushes in there. Kehe! Cheers!

Thanks guys! been a while! been swamped with work and travels and stuff lately. Some cool news should come soon and I'm also going to japan for 5 weeks monday.

Main Loop : thanks man, glad you enjoyed. Yeah not much tricks here, I've become more classical in my way of painting now, not much custom brush crazyness anymore. I'll try to show more "tricks" in next videos

yeah overlaying a pic is cool, adds some randomness that can suggest new shapes or directions, also adds some subtle color variation that enriches the palette.
