That was just an awesome display of the trickery there that you were doing, LOL! I am with min I am disappointed that you are not really that fast. Sweet booty juice on everything that you do! Thanx for sharing as always!
beautiful work, wonderful videos to watch too, very interesting to see another artist work.
wow...great sketches.... and thanks for your videos... ...very very good job...Mr M@ !!....um um..I wish we could see more pictures.... keep it up.....![]()
Mind blowing stuff man! Those videos are great. Slowing them down and adding some voice over would be awesome, but they're still very educational as is. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
Fantastic work as always! Your videos have been a real eye-opener. I have a question about the futuristic environment video from May 26th: Near the start you laid down an image or pattern of loads of 3d blocks (which formed the basis for the cityscape). How did you generate this clever little thing? Are you allowed to reveal your secret?

m@, as always, you da man! And I thought I had accomplished something with my last painting...then I come here, and see how unexperienced I am. However, your portfolio is a great dream to strive for.
Your chicks are really hot!
Turns out I always see your videos on you tube before I even check your SB.

mc2mc2 : hehe thanks. Mmm audio comments? thats asking a lot :p would be cool though... one day maybe... dunno about a methodology for practicing speed painting... and not sure speed painting is a very good exercise in the start. The whole speed thing is kinda dumb actually. For me it's just because I'm usually too lazy to stay too long on a pic (unless there's $$$ involved) . I guess if you have problems with direct paint, yo could try copying life or photos first, try to simplify and focus on values, shapes, composition. Then build up your own visual library and try to make some from your mind. And there's nothing wrong with starting with a line sketch, I sometimes do that, I definitely should do it more cause it helps design , anatomy , etc to be more correct.
strych9ine : haha thanks Cody, I forgive you, cause I know you've been so busy preparing the next LMS ... :p![]()

oishiiniku : arigato! it's just a brush made out of a 3d render. but you can make brushes from anything, could have been a drawing
andreadrocha : thanks ! hey, damn, you did accomplish something, I love your last paint man! I wish I made it :p

Yay killzone! Uh...I mean...Nice speedpaint! Looks delicious
Great as always. Love the way the light hits the helmet. Nice work on the implied camouflage pattern.
From one Matt to another M@ - Awesome work! Really like the last speed paint.
wow...i really love how the brushstrokes seem so chaotic yet everyone of them look like they belong and contribute to the piece...cant wait for more![]()
One of the most inspirational sketchbook threads ive seen in quite some time, excellent work.

Cool, mang! Dude, the sun reflecting off the armor is your trademark (TM) isn't it? It is really nice to view and I love all those crazy colors everywhere. Oo-la-la! Peace be with you, man and I hope you are making awesome concept art for whoever you work for!

I really enjoy your work! Seeing them keeps telling me how much more I have to learn.. If you could spare some time, can you look through my sketchbook and perhaps give me some guidance? That would be great if you can.. Thanks, and keep posting! =p
i love your stile and i love you art you are one great inspiration (THX)
ahoy! very nice.
The image seems a bit stretched, dunno if that was intentional or not.
Still looks good

i tried painting like you yesterday.. and after an hour or so I found myself sitting in the corner crying.you make it look so easy.. all the respect for being so awsome with colours.
i LOVE THE last speed sketch!![]()
hey matt, the newest brushes I could find were matbrushes5.abr, are there newer ones? because that one didnt have the vanishing point brush you were referring to.
That brush is called "pers" and its 1915px largeIts in there, take a closer look. You could make that brush yourself easily too.
Great last update M@!
ah you're right! i missed it before.. thanks epias, and thanks mat for the brush...
No time for replies right now, I'm just posting those before going to bed.
A couple of things from today.

HOT!
and the girl is nice too!
Armor is great. I find too much light in the girls face as compared to her shoulders, and rest of the body. Looks impressive though.
