Hey doood, I dig the first one. How big is the original? You have style, just work on the basics(line, compostion, anatomy, etc) and you'll develop quickly.
big. like 48 x 12 inches.its 3 pieces. im thinkin of gettin it framed.
well. this is a weekend's worth of work. i think it makes some of my other stuff look like crap. for some reason theres this blue line in there.....i dunno what happened there...scanner problems i guess.
Enjoying your work. As sketch said, you have talent, but you need to work on your basics. Hope to see more of your work. Keep posting.
My Sketchbook- C&C very welcome

That hair looks like a lot of work. I don't have the patience for that. It might look better with a bit more neck structure. Like were the neck meets the collarbone.
some more portrait work. math class was boring. shadows done with a regular pencil...soo.....at parts it seems a little rough.
----(EDIT: thought i should add a picture of my friend as well...u know...for visual comparison. face is not complete there but it you can see the resemblance)

Thanks for the kind words in my sketchbook!
Really like your portraits, especially the one of the girl. The second one is also nice, but the way you've done the hair doesn't give any impression of depth (ie no highlights or shadows) and so it lacks volume and substance.
But seeing as you did it in maths i'll let you off ;p
Keep up the good work!
