a la bapsi: hahaha thanks. FlyLo is great!!!

Pocoyo: try it. it's very liberating once you get down something almost perfect the first time!

Krato: yes i do feel i'm getting a lot out of them. i'm having fun doing this and the mundane days are flying by as well as my doubts of what i can or can't do. i look at a complicated pattern, building, person's face, and don't think it's impossible to draw. i just draw it and learn from what i see. i'm seeing clearer, deeper, and more than normal people see everyday because i'm actually seeing. but thank you for the tips, though those things are for study time... which is EVERYDAY OF MY LIFE! :] cheers!

    B-Man: lol!!thanks man!

Sweetass armour! Try looking for some soft edges in those reflections/refractions. I really like the way you suggested the chainmail on top of the second study!

When you do these armor studys do you start with a middle value then add the darks and lights?
If you push the rendering I hope to see you add some tear and wear to them plates. Dents and scratches always makes armor way cooler.

Neat sketches man. I'm absolutely for it that you keep doing them, i believe they're one of the best ways to drive the fear of drawing away. Which reminds me, i should do that more often myself :o

Matt!!! *explosion* man you're still kicking ass! sorry for missing so much.

Love the loose sketches you do, you seem to be nailing the gestures with much ease, I wonder if you have noticed them helping your drawings from imagination?

Cool Knight studies too, captured the surfaces perfectly in those. More, sir!

brought a leaf with me from outside today. being in an office all day without a window can really detach you from nature. so i brought nature in with me! lol i like feeling the texture.

teapo: yes. i am in an office most of the day. though i should wake up earlier and play around in the sun more often. i just can't wake up earlier than 9! it's so hard! ;] yes, observe EVERYTHING! it's so fun

Metal Fingers: woo have fun in the wind and sun! :]

Benjie: otay... haha got to find more reference!

LisandroG: actually i stole that from one of my friends. i saw it for 2 seconds in her sketchbook and memorized it and redrew it ... though i added the penis and urine puddle. :]

r y a n o i r: GMILF HAHAHA i love that show! i only have season 1. and what season are they on now?

    ---

won't be here tomorrow so i added an extra sketch. ;] hope you DON"T MIND!

also doing this p90x workout which is making my muscles ripped and i have more energy than i've ever had before! it's really great and makes me draw more than normal. hahaha!

i'm also in love with my 007 James Bond film collection (all 22 films). such a great series. the last 2 films make me happy with their sleek polished look and the directing is fantastic. so much better than those over-the-top unrealistic ones from the 90s on.

Metal Fingers: thanks for the offer man! ;] yeah you have a good eye. i've been enthralled with The Incredibles. watch it every Wednesday night when i take care of the kids in church. lol i put it on commentary, and the kids say, "that's not the right movie, put the right movie in!" then i tell them this is a special version and they just play. haha

teapo: heck yes! thanks man! you keep up the good work too!!

    ---

my friend anna. i worked the colors exactly to the photograph, then switched the colors up to the way i'd like them. i feel much better with my colors. learned a bit in this one.

I really like the color schemes in your studies as well as how its layed out compositionally and your sense of verisimilitude.. ex: how you paint water.. realistic. Very well done. would like to see some completed digital studies/paintings as of recently too

Her pose feels a little stiff to be honest, i think it's in the shoulders. And perhaps some sharper edges or some more saturation in the foreground, to deepen the perspective. Yeah, i'm nitpicker
