"Troog Hamoth & the never stop use sword"



this is my first Thread on this ConceptArt site..!!!
and then I'm not sure how do this..!!

but well..!! generally my works I made:

1.- drawing in blue lead pen 0.7
2.- A-4 or letter format
3.- scann to: 300 dpi
4.- coloured on PS, some times use tablet and other times I colouring using traditional technic.

the ideas:
almost always are mixing creature kind between a human and some animal, the accesories I create without references, only memory..!!

well.. that's all for the moment..!!

really cook sword design - I like the sword/axe mix.
I think maybe you should revisit and define the feet more clearly -its looking a little flat in that area. Also inking and coloring this would help bring it to the next level...Great start - I hope to see more.

softocean has a good point about making a post in the sketchbook thread. I know you have plenty of sketches and interesting designs. Basically you just need to take them to the next stage. I highly reccomend that you take a look at the creature thread and also the tutorials to get a better idea of rendering things more. You linework is pretty solid for the most part.

Just curious...do you use a tablet in photoshop. In anycase keep working it! Check the photoshop thread here also. Doing some long still-live studies I think might be a huge benefit to you. check the link! http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?t=47859

this piece it's my "OMEGA II" based on old concept car that I desesigner for a chevrolet concept design contest.. organized for a University.

This is the main shape of the robot, would be the middle section body:


this is a rough for determinate a simple way for polygon modeling on head section:


this shapes are different sections of the robot, I make this steps because facilite the next modeling work:


This extrage scheme is a transveral cut, made for know the specific structure on middle part of this shape:

a lot of the last few i didn't really understand. did you invert the colors on them??? anyway i like your first one except the sword but thats not the way you drew it just an opinion that swords shouldn't be overly big and complicated for the simple act of killing someone. but anyway. good work keep it up.

Yeah, I intervented the colours on PS, originals are like traditional sketches, hahaha.. that sword.. xD.. well man.. this sword is a mixing Sword between an AX.. and well.. u,U I dislike to murders, so I difficulting his work for killing.. xD
