I think i may have commented here before. Anyways, when i look at the first page and the last drawing, your stuff definitely seems tighter. That's always a nice thing to behold, especially when it was already pretty tight to start with.

Dished - thanks! yah I have a hard time with line quality using paint markers. Think I need to do bigger pieces with them so you don't really notice the small details.

Tigermilk - would love to see the failed colouring job!

Chelsea - that's a really good idea and something I'd love to work towards. Maybe if I do a show I'd get that done and have something super cheap to sell.

A tua mãe - thanks for crit. I know my content doesn't change much but that's because I draw what I find fun and interesting. If you look at the beginning of this thread till now I know you'll see a progression of my work. I can draw dudes with hats all day and never really get bored because I'm trying new things with how I'm doing it. I know this kind of thing would never work if I was trying to get a job doing concept art for video games or movies because you have to be able to be diverse and draw all sorts of different shit(with great skill). I'm just more into listening to beats and having fun... my art won't be for everyone.
But that being said I think I should've progressed further in putting my artwork into a more finished format. It's something I really struggle with and waste too much time into thinking about not actually doing it. So in that sense I know I'm going around in circles. But like I said it's more about me just enjoying playing with pens and drawing squishy faces. cheers

Thanks for the feedback Bhanu, yah it was probably a bit lighter but whenever I scan my work in I play with the levels a bit.

Chelsea - I love the yellow blog too. I tried to do some more right after and they all failed horribly. I'm such a streaky artist that if I'm in a certain zone it's hard for me to duplicate the same thing later on. But I'm going to try and do more, for sure.

I just posted these in the toy forum and figured I mise as well post them in here considering I get a big amount of inspiration from the designs that go into vinyl toys. Artists like 123 Klan, Jon Burgerman and Teddytrooper. Make sure to check out Kidrobot right now because they have awesome Simpson toys! We picked up a few that I haven't taken pictures of yet.

we learned how to use 2 part plastic and make rubber molds. I know how to do it but ive never made a toy.... i should but getting started is expensive. i remember the 2 part plastic being like $100 a bottle.

ive also thought about using zbrush for positive prototypes.

i think ur work lends itself more to toys than mine ever would... id really like to see something youve casted

roidvoid - Toys are always in the back of my mind. Both designing and painting them. I'd like to try zbrush but I do basic 3d stuff with Maya at work and the last thing I want to do when I get home is do more 3d. 3d = shoot myself in the dome. I like 3d when I do it little here and there for fun. I don't mind it as a job but 8 hrs is all I can handle.

So I'm still working on a project for a client so the most I can get in right now is a sketch here or there. Can't wait to show you guys the finished pieces I'm doing.

Been zoned out lately. Feels good. I've been doing 3D work all day then coming home and working on illustrations for clients and after that doing my own thing. Haven't felt this motivated in a while.

hell yeah brother! Last update is fucking awesome! Love the way you tangle the patterns with the figures, makes me think of wes burt a little bit. Damn that's tough btw with the days filled up like that. But I guess it's rewarding in the end, besides you get to do what you love, right?

Tigermilk - thanks! Wes Burt is awesome! I think I was more influenced by Jon Burgerman lately. I like how he just puts shapes together and can rock an entire wall and it all looks perfect.
