nice stuff dude! like your style! uniqe! cheers!
These are the coolest characters. They would make great vinyls.
Love this last orange and pink one.
Please visit my sketchbook.
I love what you're doing right now. The orange one is really eye catching just with the color... if you wanted to pop some fine details into that one, what you might want to use is a nib pen with some white india ink (any decent fine art store should have these). I've done this on toned/painted drawings before, and it can really pop with just some subtle line work.
Keep it up!
You guys keep me motivated! My update is coming... I promise. I'm working on a illustration for a mag right now that I'll keep you guys posted on.
Plus I just got this little critter...
As you can imagine it's hard to get shit done with that thing running around chewing on my sketchbooks and pens!
I'll be back very soon! I need to catch up with everyone's book!
OMG you got a PUPPY!!!!
I guess that explains why there haven't been many posts lately.
well you're missed... you should do some sketches of your cute new addition.
dammit, I want a puppy... my guinea pig is about as friendly and cuddly as a grumpy old man.
Chelsea - yah you can't get mad at a puppy post!
Bhanu - it's here!
BC - thanks for missing me! The puppy's taken a bunch of my time up... but well worth it. I had some time without her this weekend so I've been able to finally get some scanning done. Scanning sucks.
So some of these were done during my 'drought' and they suck but some of them were done more recently. Been getting my confidence back again, feels good! Sorry about the heavy image load.
There's some more work I want to show you but I have to wait...
Great stuff, Reminds me of Graf artist Sam Flores.
oh god thank you for the update matt....
third ones the best ....But I am hungry and greedy...I have tasted blood and I want more.......GImme more BABy....ooohhh yeaaaaaa
UPDATE UPDATE clap clap clap !!!
Nice to have you back!!
Those character rock, as always! ^^
Let's show a more finished stuff pleaaase!
Edit : The puppy is cute! ^^ I don't want puppy anymore, cause my bitch had 7 ! I turned crazy!!
You really should take more time to do you're art. Maybe try something more traditional such as a figure study or a speedpainted portrait. Like the above but color them I think...yes.
great update, man, it's good to have you back.
really enjoy the girls face and the second to last sketch.
the stains and red color that is not folowing the figure too much really adds to it.
don't you let us wait for so long again!
I'm stoked you guys still have love for me! haha
DARAF - Sam Flores is rad. His work has probably been a big influence on me. Didn't really get the hands from him though... even though both styles are big I think mine differ a lot.
bhanu - thanks : ) Here's some more but I don't know if it'll fill that hunger of yours
Clochette - I couldn't imagine having 7 of her! She's got enough attitude! Love her though. Thanks for the support. I'm working on a few more finished pieces but they are for a coupld design jobs(and by design jobs I mean my scribbles) that I can't show... yet.
cout<mecha - I agree. I should take more time in doing some coloured pieces. My style developed the way it did because I had to find a way to do some art fast. There are some days I get a lot more time but for the most part I only have an hour here or there. I'm trying to find more time to get a bit more finished. Don't think the art in this post is what you're looking for, hehe.
Flaskpost - thanks bud, I use micron pens and a bit of everything else. Love trying out different brands but I find a lot of them dry up pretty damn fast. Love using brushes too but I don't always have the time or space to get dirty like that!
BC - she's funky as hell! cheers
monotony - hopefully it hasn't been too long... although I'd like my posts to be better than this one
went back to the wood grain, haha
jesus man! i love your style! Deco color markers ftw! i just bought a bunch of foamcore to draw on with the decos, but its hard to get used to,especially with the line confidence stuff and all. anyways love your work! thanks for the inspiration =]
hey man, how's it going?
Man I dig your work you know that, I got extremly temted to color one of these before, and I did. This one: http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i2...t/sb8_pg25.jpg however the whole thing was a huge fail. haha 't was fun though.
Hey Sketch, love the wood grain drawings, those are really cool!
Hope all is well on the island.
unnngh gangsta! lovin this style bro. so much flava!
you should do a complete scene with multiple characters and an abstract cityscape behind and all kinda other craziness...that would be off the rack of ribs! haha, keep it up man.
makoa's madness! - check out my sketchbook
