Thanks to the both of ya!
28chelseaslater - hopefully I can get to that soon. My work situation has been a lot more busy lately. Hasn't been as slack and I don't have as much time to draw as I used to... boo! And I'm doing a huge web update for a client. So boring non artistic html... but at least it pays! Also the heat seem to kill my creativity and makes me into a lazy bastard. I'll get some new stuff up here by the weekend though.

I think I finally get why you call this s.b work the angle , and why I like your stuff so much. The clear sharp angles , they really please the eye , well my eye anyway.

for cheap acrylics, you can try here... it's discount art supplies. Sometimes it's cheaper to buy in store (at least around these parts with my student discount ) but you could check it out. Their sales are killer.

its funny that im able to recognize the RobG textures.
dont know what that says about me spending too much time looking trough folders instead of drawing.

    ANYWAY

keep the experimenting up, how about messing up and scanning it? a sketch texture pack?

E92 - Yah, I picked Work the Angle for a few reasons. The first is that it really does apply to my style... all about the angles and curves. I also like the idea of finding a way to make things work.. if something doesn't work out than just work a different angle on it till it does. Also it has hiphop origins and that also applies to me.

bhanu - haha, that was just a scribble to put something on the empty page. Funny that you like that one.

andreas- yah, good ol Rob G textures. I need to go out and take some pics for some new ones.

bloodrush - thanks for taking a look!

I really need to update soon... you guys are showing all this love and I'm not providing, boo on me. It's been a super stressful couple weeks and I find it hard to work through stress. Something I'm working on. I promise there will be something new on here by the weekend. Thanks for the motivation!

Glad it's not just me, going through exactly the same thing at the moment mate so my sketchbook is also being neglected. So stressed that when I think about putting pencil to paper all my brain says back is 'meh'. I dunno bout you, but forcing the drawings out never works out and just makes me proper angry!
I'm sure something great will jump out onto paper when you're least expecting it - hang in there

monstertree - thanks for relating... you sound the exact same as me. Kind of why it's hard for me to do art as an actual job. I'm really streaky and I find that I have to just go with the flow and do tons of work when it feels right. I've been trying to figure it out for a long time and am still exploring how it all works.

here's a couple pages that I've managed to scrape out...

Chelsea - no prob, I deserve to have my ass riden lately... that sounds really bad, haha. I did a couple drawings last night and I just need to scan them and colour them up(but at the rate I've been going lately that alone will probably take a few years). I'm still super stoked for you to done one, those last ones you did are killer!

FactorZero - maybe a little too smoooooth

bhanu - I can always use some more asspats! again, sounds bad.

wow, you have a really incredible, distinct style. I too know the woes for not being paid for a job. It happens. Don't let it keep you from trying to get your work out there.

Hey everybody, thanks for the feedback and support! I feel like I'm starting to come out of my art slump. I went and purchased some ink and a brush today and am pretty happy with my results so far. My scanner is being a bitch and doesn't want to focus on the picture right, sorry for the blurry picture.

this rougher style is pretty. cool. I want to seem some color on these. With lines so clean, there's no excuse for not coloring them. Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook too!

I forgot to reply to everyone...

Anthony - yah, it sucks when jobs don't work out but I find I hate doing art when I have to. As I get older I am starting to more and more just want to do art for myself and enjoy the process. I'd rather do my own stuff and if I can sell some of that, I'm stoked!

BobbyDash - thanks for taking a look!

Bhanu - one of the only things that have given me inspiration lately are some of your drawings! haha, they remind me of when I was doing a lot of life drawing and my style kinda developed naturally... which is what I see in your work. I need to do some lifedrawing again, soon.

Mr Joe - isn't that the third time you pointed out that girl drawing? hahaha! I used to do a LOT of girl drawings but now when I do them I find it hard not to make them just sexy. I like there to be something else in there - like something ugly or dark. I'll try and do some more soon, promise! I used to listen to some of those radio stations but now I mainly listen to whole albums or podcasts/mixes done by some of my fav djs.

ped454 - epic!? sweet! haha, I don't really think epic when I look at my work(prob the opposite). Glad you see that though and I'm sure there'll be a lot more clouds to come.

voraz - stoked you dig my work!

Chelsea - edit it in any way works for you. Just stoked to see what you do with it! If it's anything like your latest plushies it will be fackin ace.

FactorZero - I'm not sure if I'll be putting colour in my new ink drawings. Kinda want to work with black and white awhile and figure out the medium a bit more before I add colour into it. If I do it'll prob be some watercolour washes or something.

krossj - thanks for checking it out and there'll be more in that style for sure. It's just a matter of me getting them scanned in better.

andreas - told ya it's coming. I've been wanting to get dirtier and more traditional for a long time and it's slowly starting to get to that point. Just need more room and money and I'd be doing a lot of different traditional pieces.
