Calling all professionals

As part of my freshman orientation class, I need to do a "job shadow" where I contact an individual working in the general career field I'm aiming for and give them a short interview about their work environment and education background. I know you pros are all very busy, but I would be extremely grateful if anyone currently doing some sort of illustration work in the entertainment industry (salaried, freelance, or both is fine) would be so kind as to answer some questions via email to help me out. The questions wouldn't be too personal (Loose schedule of an average work-day, what sorts of projects do you work on, what do you enjoy about your job, et cetera), and I'd only need to ask maybe 6 or 7 over an email or two.

You'll probably get a better response if you contact the people you're interested in talking to directly.

Take the time to send a few PMs or emails to people and they'll be much more inclined to help.

Most people _will_ help, if you hsow interest in what they are doing rather than casting out a net and seeing who you drag up. Once you get them, ask specific questions. I just got one of these the other day that basically said, "What do you think about illustration." It's basically asking me to write their essay for them. Ask specific and pointed questions. And once your are finished, send them a "Thank You" note!
