That Hellfish is genuinely scary. Beautiful specularity on it BTW. And I like the increase in saturation around the gills -- I forgot what that's called...but you can see it in stuff like skin facing sunlight. I think it might be subsurface scattering...

The latest lost some shapes and I'm still sculpting - just need to do something else today than work/sit at the computer.

Probably all for today - been a bit off and got a massive headache o/

That new piece looks interesting. I'm completely confused about your process but your other stuff looks finished and stuff so I'm sure that's not a problem for you.

& Are there problem with the edges? yes - in most of these they are too hard - and I rarely use soft brushes nor do I smudge areas out.

Hey Dan, thanks for the useful info back in my SB

I've been trough your SB, and all I can say is: AWESOME. I like how you handle color, and how everything you paint seems really solid.
I like your portraits the most, the SP on the last page looks great, can't believe it took you only 20 minutes! There was also an amazing one back around the page 11 or 12, I think it said it was your brother. Also diggin' all this recent stuff with the entrails and tentacles and such. Really great work!

Dan, First - thanks for visiting my SB - and leaving such positive feedback, that really made my day!

Second - Wow! Your work rocks. You put a lot of love into it clearly - love the hyper detail you put in some of your illustrations - like the dissected alien thing from your DSG entry, also like seeing how much you experiment with different techniques. You have so much work here I can't really comment on so much of it - just that I had a lot of fun going through all the pages! I like seeing that you do so many DSG's, I might have to do some now too. The close-up of the texturing on the robot you did recently blew my mind! How? Love your work! - keep goin man, you rock

Just a small update ~ not been doing much for the last 2 days at all. Actually a bit displeased about this - the head is getting too large for the body and I need to add more builk to the top fish and it's neck. Also the lower one is a bit horrid as well - so probably needs some more looking into overall shape wise - esp. the side and the mouth. but oh well once I don't feel sick and tired :/ (probably not, just a bit low).

Tawnos, Ludic, The Whistler, Carlos-will, p sage, Jasper_, Wholewheat_keyboard Thanks to all of you ~

    dU5K
Thanks - but it wasn't really that I have good edges or my style is good - I just had a problem with the way it was explained - it wasn't very heplful at all and rather misleading. Anyway we should have our own styles ofc. but doing bad things isn't really one of them

Hi Dan...you're version of "slow" makes me look like I'm not moving.

Digging the enviors and characters but must note the mecha-bird and the second to last "portrait...very cool!

Wicked creations Dan! I really enjoyed flipping through your pages. The only constructive crit I could really give you is to work on your human proportions a touch, things look a little stunted here and there. Anyway, I'll keep my eyes out for your updates.
