    looking great man!

The amount of work you shell out is really impressive, and i really like how you have fun with things that appear in the background (like the mutant guys in the background in a previous chow, or the skulls you place around your characters
Love the brushwork and drawing on the last character! but if you have to put the two characters together i would have pushed their "relation" by making the girl more "reactive", with her feet up trying to push the orc dude away or something of the sort.
I also find the shields/spear cluster on the left a bit distracting from our main composition (maybe it could be bigger, but behind our characters to "frame" them?).
Really flattered by the comment man.The lines on that DGS look really good, and i love the composition of that.Maybe modulating the lineweight a bit more could have helped the viewer attention to focus on the more important parts of the pictures and add more depth and clarity.Anyway, really really good work all around! (i'm having a reeeeally hard time choosing what sketch i'd like to send you! )

    Welcome back ~

    TheGnoll
Yeah I do have fun when I paint most of the time, save bad days but ~

I agreed/agree with both and more or less removed the army in the back - and made her a bit more reactive all while also making her closer to pass out - should be less of a doll now and more of someone at the verge of loss.

Also with the lines - I was tired and should have fixed some, or plenty of the weights but skipped it - feel that I cheated it a bit, but I'll be more careful with it in the future (its rather slow for me since I rarely do lines)

    & take your time ~ & thanks.

    sevarenge
heh - tackar - ansiktet var mer för flödet i bilden - blev bättre om hon tittade mot orchen. & Entombed som bäst är riktigt grymma

    MacTire
Sexy strokes is the goal of it all ~ and thanks.

    AustenFM
Yeah - wish I had more time to fix the eye before the deadline (my own fault starting late - but ~ I added metal claws to help it along a bit.

    MarcSampson
Well I explained it here - and its more about failing my vision opposed to other peoples criteria. & thanks for your vote of confidence

    Saara_
Glad I can inspire, and yes one of the motivations I have is to do pleasing brushwork - I get a bit annoyed with myself when ever I use the strokes in ugly fashions even if the result is fine (so I do it anyway but I don't like it).

She is sadly not the woman ~ it's actually from the heart concept (colours and idea etc)

The image that sold me on the direction and colour palette I wanted - left her, the root and the one tooth from the cat in as a homage of sorts.

    wreck
Thanks - but mostly painting at the moment - and currently looking for work so it becomes even easier

    Ricardo Robles
Wanted him to be a bit of a heroic orc - not a kind nice orc by far, but a hero to them - and have him crush his enemies and what human soldiers guard more than all, the women and the children.
& thanks - the sword worked better than I expected
& Wasted is nice - will try to do something for it today or tomorrow ~

    rumpenstiltzkin
Your word is law ~ so I left it in ~

    teapo
I hope I could be a good host and proide a a hearty meal and not just tempt you then

    Mr. Gadbury
We render differently, but I think you render well, especially as of late - the ChoW you provided was great and seems to be trumping mine to which I can only congratulate you - was a fun match and was more motivating after than the two prior.

CHoW#255 :: Slightly tweaked to fix a few things I didn't have time to before the deadline (mostly removed the white cloth and some rendering - not all for the better. Was a good one - and I really enjoyed Brownings and Mr. Gadburys submissions ~

    some ambience

The idea was around the destruction of beauty - and I didn't want a pus-ridden monstrosity but a heroic herald of doom, someone who would deeply enjoy it ~ so I had him destroy the guards of civilization, slay the cat (keep the tooth around his neck) and then strangle the girl ~ it was a bit meta, especially since I didn't post the heart-concept (seen above under the comment to Saara).

As always amazing work. Sketch was good looking but You know, sketchy, painting is awesome. Totally love his expression :D I've got weakness for giant swords, voted for You. My only complaints are a bit too long shoe and imho left ear shouldn't be visible(?). Also next time moar blood!

The new piece looks cool! I think it's a nice piece overall.
But I also feel like there's some issues with it. The biggest problem I have it is the huge difference with the goblin and the girl. The goblin is easy to look at because a lot of edges gets lost in the cape. You have some variation there, not completely enough but there are some variation. But when you look over at the girl, every edge is super sharp and she kinda looks out of place.

Think of it as in real life, there aren't really any edges, just separations of value. A dark value close to a light value creates an edge. Use this thing to your advantage. You don't have to sharpen up the silhouette all over the place. I think it's nice when you loose edges in the background (such as the goblins leg, etc) and you could push that with the girl too to unify this image more because right now it feels like they are just pasted in there.

Look at that Frazetta piece. He doesn't really push the edges this much, because he doesn't have to, his edges are still pretty sharp even though his strokes aren't super defined. This is because of what I mentioned with value. The background is very bright and the character is darker than the background which creates an edge because of the big huge difference. This is something you need to take into consideration.

I also think the goblin might be a little bit too contrasty on the chest. But that might just be me.

But like I said, overall this is a really nice piece. I really like the design of the goblin and the youthful face he has, you don't usually see this. I like the looseness of the background as well, it describes only what needs to be described and you did that really well.

Keep up the good work and I hope my words can be used for something positive.
