I think it looks awesome, nice contrast between the warm colours of the foreground vs. the cold of the background. Also realy nice details allround. The head of the alien could be arranged more dynamically, like lying on the side or just a bit skewed in perspective from our point of view. It seems a bit too 'arranged' the way it just sits there now. And is her hat about to fall off? I don't get the angle. Other than that, excellent work!!

i like the mood you've set. and the colors are great, but i think the lighting/shadows could be a bit more intense.. good work - JAG

This might seem petty, but the Rock people are really stiff, they seem like they can't move their joints or something, but I love the foreground!

This is an excellent piece of work.
You have done a great job of using texture to set up a very ambient and believable atmosphere.

I agree with some of the details the other members have focused on.
The head of the creature on it's side with guts and blood spewing forth would be more exciting. Maybe even the remains of the other half of his corpse somewhere in the foreground.

My only (nitpick- because it really already is a great illustration) would be to not flirt with the stance of the figure. It looks like you are wanting to push her left shoulder back and right forward for attitude, yet the arm comes down straight and static at her side- I would think- if you are going to twist her torso go all out and even have the arm out (hand even splayed) to counter balance her stance giving her an even more formidable prescence.
    What do you think?

    Respectfully,
    Gangus

^Great character portraits. Awesome outfit designs, I especially like the guy with the sword on his shoulder - very solid piece.

    Heyas, overall these are amazing.
Seriously, good job at handling lines!
One thing i typically liked is your character development,
    Great sense of imagination bud.

Don't have much time to help you out here, but i can give a pretty solid crit on your first post in this thread. Something that bothers me about this character is her right leg. It seems like you almost tried posing the character's leg one way, then later decided to change it another way without backtracking and fixing the thigh/upper leg area. I tried putting myself in that position, and its nearly impossible (unless of course you popped your leg out of place, in which i wish you good luck putting it back in lol). Great stuff here though, would love to see more.

    j a k e, pogonip, thanks dudes

stalsby, you like that dude cool I feel I over decorate him

Thestjester, agree with you man that is my first painting I don't start with line so anatomy go wrong after it and I feel a bit hard to correct so leave it like that

jtek, female designs are coming but as you told me I should put them in sketchbook right?

complete2, personally I just go to googel and type fashion design, there are a lot of good references, just take a look of them, but never copy photo just use some elements in them to create your own characters. Strong culture stuffs are awsome too, look at those costomes of old tribe and traditional costume I found very helpful too

    hey hey
nice to see your recent works
the first on is rly good and different from you normal style
but the two evil dudes (the one on the left and the one in the middle) lean in the exact same ancle and have a very similar pose which makes the whole thing quite static

    the lineworks are awsome again
I always love to see them

Wow, those are some strong designs. My favorite is the 3rd one, man walking with big sword-axe weapon.
The first one's stance is too odd, someone already covered that. The rest are fantastic!

Great character designs sketches! I gotta be honest, your black and white stuff is a lot stronger than your color stuff, but that'll come, you said you're new to it so I forgive ya You might want to work on female anatomy a bit more - possibly male too, though on the guys it's covered up - around the hip/pelvis area. And definitely check your feet sizes, they are often very, very small. They should be as long as the forearm.

    Really great work, post more!

nonie, thank you for your honest comment man, I like to draw anatomy I feel it is very important to me so totally agree with you, yeap hip area is very tricky area to handle. About the feet they should be as long as the forearm? I don't really know that, if you don't mind can youshow me some references or materials state that thanks dude

look, thanks man, true firs one is odd I paint it without line a lot of areas are broken, I will try to fix them but redo a finished painting is a bit harsh

    whiteeeeeee, thanks

Thestjester, my dpi is 300 resolution is 3500* 3500 my crappy computer just allow me to color in that size

Infinit, I agree with you a experiment picture, coloring is very tough to me all the time

I show you guys another model sheet I have done.

That looks great dude! I'm a little confused with his right leg, I assume that it's kneeled up under his body though. Great colours.

I don't know where I learned the foot/forearm thing but you can prove it on yourself - if you put your forearm and foot together, you'll find that if your heel is in your elbow, your toes go right up to the wrist. Just one of those body proportions. I'd take a pic of myself doing it to explain what i mean, but my camera is lost
