lookin' good mike! love that gremlin fusilier sitting on top
working on it section by section doesn't give a lot to crit, since most things get important as they relate to other sections... but, you need to watch how the sword overlaps the chest armor -- that skull belt buckle looks like it could be chewing on the top of the sword. you could throw a shadow layer over the lower torso and/or add some highlights to the top edge of the sword.

That last piece is sweet!!! Keep in mind what bwkeough said. Really looking forward to seeing this one finished. I would like the upper background to be lighter though, a little too much darkness on the whole piece.
Great fun to work from a silhouette, no?

just stopping by to spread some love. Surprisingly This is my first visit, most excellent stuff thus far!
Quick crit: On this last WIP, I would use a different tone of saturation for the face and skin in general. Everything being so closely related with the same tones makes the character appear flat. Keep at it!
On your birthday.
Lovely rose.
Still wait'n' for the completion of the warrior boss, and especially want to see more of the mafioso portraits, as they are some fantastic character descriptions. Will be patient![]()

Mack, thanks man...i appreciate that.
hey Mike, I'm digging the creepy priest in post 282, but I'm wondering what he might look like with a slightly more defined silhouette. right now his edges are all smooth and swooshy, maybe grab another layer and experiment with some angular fabric folds; also consider: is he wearing silk, wool or even canvas?

Mike your back! Where have you been? I hope everything is good with you.
That last piece is really nice! It reminds of a Korn (the band) cover, it has a Greg Capullo feel to it.

What I really love about this last composition is that I really feel like I am there looking at this grave O' mechanical/skull stuff. The composition is extremely impressive.
I've got no crits. My sense is these latest pieces are a flexing of mood and technique. Like the cold and desolate feel to the boy and mound of skulls. Very curious about the backstories and what direction your ideas will take.

hey man, nice sb. really diggin the rendering you use in your paints. some of your stuff gets a little busy tho, it's hard to focus on the cool bits when there is so much going on. that orc lookin guy is flippin sweet, almost looks 3d the rendering is so cool.
Just wanted to thank all those that have dropped in and looked, or were so good as to leave a note.
