Question Best program for 3D character modeling for next-gen games?

What is currently the best program for 3D human character modeling for next-gen games [i.e. real-time 3D human characters], and why would you recommend it?

    Maya
    3ds max
    modo
    ZBrush

In terms of 3D character modeling: ease of use/learning, capabilities/features, real-time previewing, speed/performance, workflow. Also, how many pro studios use it?

3D programs take some time to learn to it's best to narrow it down to what I want to do and then master it in that program. Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is a best one. Each package has its own strengths and weaknesses. If you are looking for what most studios use then Max is probably the most popular as far as game companies go, but Maya and XSI are also used quite a bit also. You best bet is to pick one and go with it, but its also helpful to play around with the others some. The more you know the more opportunities you will open up.
Sorry if thats kind of vague but I think it comes down to the operator and not the program.
