children's book rates.

Hi everyone! I think I need a little help here regarding children's book rate. Currently, I don't have access to a GAG handbook out here.

I'm more into comic books but a client asked me to do artwork for kids. eg coloring book style of inking; pure outlines, no crosshatching strokes. Cartoony style

My question is how do i quote it, is it per image? per page? and how much? I don't want to lose this client and she likes my samples the only thing why it can't get started, I don't know how to price it. I'm really desperate. Will someone help me?

The pricing below is taken from the Graphic Artists Guild Pricing and Ethical Guidelines, and reprinted by the SCBWI. (Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators). These are mid range prices only. Some pay more, other less. Keep in mind that compensation varies widely from publisher to publisher.

Jacket Front Only: $1000 to $3000
Jacket & Interior Illustrations (b/w): $1500 - $4000 (flat fee advance)
Picture book Illustrations Only: $3000 - $12,000 Advance against Royalties
Picture book Text & Illustrations $4000 - $15000 Advance against Royalties
