Dope, looking forward to those watercolours!
That portrait is great, you can feel the fuzzy hair and beard!
Watercolours from Japan?! Landscapes?! HYPE!!. I forgot to ask if you could find a copy of Breath of Fire complete works, the original version from 2005 (not the new 2010 resize version which is smaller).

There's a growing demand for those in the concept art world, Joni is ahead of the curve!!
What hours do you work? Would be cool if you can meet us tomorrow before your shift starts! We actually dropped into Sakura a couple weeks back to see you but you must have been in the back speed painting some katsu don :p

Really awesome in progress pictures you've got of the plein airs! Awesome weather youve got! (all my landscape locations got washed away in floods) And the Christie's sketches as well-gonna look forward to seeing your winter studies!

Yup the cold is a pain when Plein Airing, although I'd say you've coped very well. Having said that I want it to snow like we had last year.
I really like those studies from paintings in the NG and sothebys/chrisites, quick and to the point. Please show us your work from Lavender! I know it's your new years resolution...
Nice drawings dude, take a leap and go all out on your drawings, get the details in .
I find it much more satisfying than just leaving it before you really start...
That location looks amazing, looks like you got some good exercise too getting there haha.
I like the composition on that last painting and the background. You should give it to me!

tehmeh thank you sir! =') miss you guys! and misato's! xD
Kvenh hehe thanks mate! nothing beats the feeling of painting with oils! just that pleasure of leaving the paint on the canvas... oh yeah... x)
Aberzheim i head about that! just crazy... did you paint the floods?! xD
flurry winter with no snow to landscape is chritmas without lights, maybe travel to somewhere that does?!! next year ...
joshualyness i strongly disagree, composition, proportion, value, overall shapes etc... is way more important than details, details only serve to enhance and detail alone make no picture =)
Koto i would more than happy to give it to you!! seriously!! youll have to frame it thought! =)
a digital study of the same landscape, just playing a bit with the values and color...

That's so cool of you! I'd love to have it and would definitely get it framed.
Your oil painting is really improving the digital side of things, values and colours look spot on.
