You should post more often, Chris! Diggin' the latest stuff especially. You seem to be working a bit differently in recent posts and it's very interesting to watch you evolve! I like how you're starting to ditch lines a bit more and just block in value. I'd like to see more stuff like that. The 3D work you posted is really nice. I'm a big fan of patched together metal so A+ from me! Great work!

Dynamike: Thank you. Maybe you like to know I have plans to publish a free 'The Art Of MAYA' book online? ... can't tell when yet, but it will be before the first issue is finished.

jokerrabit: I think you are right ... but even my cover wasn't used for the front cover for the book it made its round in the press. It even was on television (CNN and so on).

I'm very busy working on game art at www.rough-sea.com this days, so MAYA is developing very slow. Can't tell any details from the game beside it will be great and you can play it for free later down the road

kischi: Thank you kischi! I know I should do more rough stuff. It is a sketchbook and most of my stuff here has nothing to do with 'real' sketches. I see the Movie Monsters as my colored sketch work. The CNN story really is surreal... but I think it is good they didn't mention my name. I don't want to be the guy who pissed off Hillary Clinton you know!
Regarding the polar protection suit sketch I hope I can show some more like it soon.

I have much game related work but managed to work out more story details of MAYA in my spare time. But unfortunately working on secret game art and the story of MAYA in my spare time made it impossible to show any new artwork here for a while. But looking at the feedback to my last posts it seems there aren't many readers anyway...

Here is some new concept art from MAYA. I changed her look a little bit.



I'm trying to show you more stuff of MAYA soon.

Lovely colors man. I like what you do with movie monsters the gritty yet clean feel. They got life.
The pose in post#265 is a hard one. Her left leg is a bit long and her boobs look real stiff. You probably noticed.

B-Man: Thanks for your detailed feedback! I notice stuff like the boobs and the leg but with my comic sketches I often do not change it because I think comics should be rough with unrealistic anatomy which can make them 'interesting'. I do not like the photo realistic look in comics. It's OK for illustration when you are working with reference and stuff... but for comics I try to stay away from reference and draw from my imagination. That's why my stuff in the first sketch isn't looking perfect regarding anatomy but even when I notice the areas which aren't realistic I always think "Would I like to see this kind of art in a sequential story?"... and when I can answer "Yes." I move on to new stuff and save the sketch. Hope this makes sense

Here is a sketch of 'The Albino'... who is a villain from the book. I can't wait to draw the fight scenes with this guy
