one year of [snarfevssketchr] - selected works

Madster made me do it - Finally worked up the courage to post some pics in FF - normally all of my finished work goes straight to my sketchbook as I am cowardly.

Here are some selected pics from the past year of snarfevssketchr, mostly pertaining to my personal project '26th'. I hope you enjoy them.

'the exploding barrels hate our freedom'

    'lacuna'

    'arathi'

    'vegetable empire'

    'schau mal'

    'the escape (lms2)'

    'eigenface'

    'delphinidin days'

    'sir threech (3CH)'

    'sirocco'

    'duende'

    'xkdioptre'

    'sir rush'

    'deadzone'

    I think that's enough.

I am so torn with this. your colours choices are superb. Also non-organic rendering is effective. however all of the "flesh" colours are flat and lacking depth and texture. Is this deliberate? It's almost like your referencing backgrounds and getting lost with the main characters.

Ive always thought this, but im not sure if I mentioned it around.
Your talent in rendering, effects, and colours are very very good - but these just hide some very serious anatomy errors in pretty much all your figures and organic objects. Everything looks very flat - i think you should take more time to define light sources and pick your surfaces more objectivly - dont gradient every colour/shade - get some heavier changes of shade to define the shapes, be more aware of planes and form, than just 2d shapes. Take what u use in the backgrounds and props, and put that into ure characters.

Keep it up tho, in a sense ure half way there, at the very least.
