Self portrait I made half hour ago..I think it turned out uncanny

How long did this take you to do? It's very, very good. The proportions are very nice. Although, i'm not a big fan of the fuzzyness around the edges... but that's personal preference.

great drawing and volume, I don't know much about Digital painting, but is there a way that you can vary the color a little? It all looks like the same color with only value changes, which tends to give portraits an airbrushed/rubbery look rather than a "natural what they look like in real life" effect. In oils this is broken colors that are unexpected and can give life to painting by having them in unexpected areas that don't take away from the work. The drawing is good, however some ares are a little too sharp especially the turn of the mandible, and the shoulders look a little small to me. These are just nitpiks and this blows away anything I would do in Photoshop.
