    I really enjoyed looking at your SB Jabo.

    reading the comments and looking at the stuff about the collage makes me
    wish I had the chance to go to collage.

    You've improved tones over the whole SB Jabo.
    Even the Graphic Design on page 4 is awesome, If thats something you enjoy doing
    I'd keep it up cause you definitely have the talent.

    I particularly enjoyed the few zombies you done as I'm a big zombie fan.

    Great Job mate, keep em coming.

    Thank you!

    4ntimatter: Well, college is just as good as what you take away with it. And I promise more zombies! I'm a fan myself, but at the moment I need something more uplifting

    Sorry it took me such a long time to update again. The semester is on and I had to catch up with some long needed social contact I've got some smaller doodles on the lawn, but nothing worth uploading. I reduxed the last enviro, I think it gained tons. I should keep my fingers away from the dodger though.

    EDIT: Jesus what was I typing. Sorry, it was late night. I corrected the worst mistakes.

    And may I remind everyone for the sake of contract matter that all new images are hosted on Flickr. You can visit my Photostream via the link in my signature. I have some photos up there as well. I'll cut my current webdomain by next year and will have to go through everthing in this thread and change the urls.

    AiRaGe: Merci!
    kingkostas: Thank you, will do!

    Most of what I draw during the semester is quick layout stuff and scribbles for concepts that I try to sell to fellow students, professors and lecturers. At the end of Febuary there will be more finished stuff ready to look at. I'm currently working on a crazy kinda comic cooking book of the macabre for one project and on illustrations and photographs about fast food for another one (figure I like eating).

    Here's some life drawing. I like it as the opportunity to do life drawing, but there's not as much criticising involved as I thought (we're a big course, about 20 people). It's once per week and we've had three models so far, my block is still in my car with four more drawings in it. Anyhow, here's what I got. I'm a little slow so I just sketch in the shading and mark it down really rough. I'll try to shade some of them for the semester finals. The digital stuff is old, I got some A4 drawings in my sketchdrawer and dozens of unimportant sketchbook pages in my bag. But still, no scanner. So that will have to wait.

    [/update] Hope to update soon.

    Ah and I forgot to post these. Quick concepts for an alternative book idea we had. We chose to go with the other cooking book as the pixel style is nice to look at but not what we needed to compete. I'll put this on the side and definately come back to it.

    Hey man, just looked through some of your older stuff...damn you've made some big progress lately! I like that you are continuing with the traditional work and the digital...its good to balance it. Would love to see you take a piece to a fully developed and polished level...i know it can take a while...but i think more growth will occur.

    Keep rocking!

    Thanks folks!

    AttackCat: I'm working on polishing stuff. It's actually a fun process, but also consumes so much time that I'd rather work on getting other ideas down on the canvas. This one I finished up a little more than usual.

    blexano: Ich danke dir vielmals! Charakter haben die? Na das freut mich zu hören. Auch wenn ich lieber freundlicheren Charakter rüber bringen würde

    Tmza: Thanks a lot!

    Been painting instead of getting work done for uni. Besides that, I bought 85% chocolate, I guess it's the darkest I've ever had. Will try it later. Also, somewhat better olive oil. I usually pick up the cheapest, but now I tried somewhat pricier stuff, costs about five times as much as the usual one. Why am I telling you this? Because that's me, I love cooking and I think everyone should cook.

    Try this little recipe:

    2 kohlrabis
    1 yellow bell pepper
    1 small onion
    1 garlic clove
    1 lemon
    salt, pepper, olive oil

    - Rasp the kohlrabis, best results with stick rasps (will result in match-like sticks).
    - Slit pepper, very fine for best results.
    - Dice the onion, again, fine is best.
    - Hack or press the garlic.
    - Mash it all together.
    - Press out the lemon juice on top.
    - Add salt and pepper. More pepper, but keep an eye on the salt.
    - Add some sugar if you like.

    Keep in the fridge for half an hour for best gusto. Or just eat right away. Best with pasta or grilled meat.

    Yes I'm aware that this isn't cooking, I'll post another recipe with real stuff next time.

    Oh and here's the painting.

    ilmenhin: Thanks, you're making great progress yourself imho!

    Here's some doodles. I'm drowning in work at the moment, and probably will till spring. I'll be in Berlin on January 14th for an exhibition of our book project and right now it looks as if we'll stay until Sunday 17th. So if you're in Berlin, gimme a heads up. I'd love to meet some of you sketchers again.

    Some doodle-doos that make me feel bad posting:

    Jabo: only on paper, I feel. I would be happy to be able to doodle digitally up to your level. Don't feel bad posting those doodles; best doodles ever if you so label them. ^^ I like the heavy metal orcish looking guy. And the last enviro- the sky is beautiful.

    Here's another one. Man, there's gotta be a script for making these, it's way too complicated.

    Here's a WIP. I captured 40 minutes of video before realizing that iShowU adds a fat neon-green logotype on top of each video. Grinding my teeth right now, I wanted that process-shot, I really did.

    And my workspace, for those interested.

    Thank you, that's well appreciated! Yeah that TT flew by and I thought "this will cause some hystery".

    // WARNING: TECHNOLOGY RANT

    The old Apple Cinema Display is connected to my gaming rig by the way.

    Ah, the iMac. I had to send it back a week after I got it due to dirt inside the display and display flickering/black-outs. The replacement arrived later than support guaranteed, which left me for 2 weeks without a Mac. I'm not used to working on a PC, it was a pain. So I hope this replacement iMac will do the job. Beautiful machine, I'm quite happy.

    // WARNING: RESOLUTIONS

    I'm doing web design and I'm aiming to go high-profile with it next year. Fighting my nerdism is tough, I guess it stands fixed, I'm probably not going to be a professional illustrator or artist. I like it that way, actually. I like doing a lot of stuff and serving it all won't work when I'm going freelance, so it comes down to what's the best solution economically that cuts your interests the least.

    I'm aiming for the web and interactive sector because I'm a strong believer that it's where our future will be taking place for most of my working life, or at least some good years into it. My flatmate and I have started work on our own small design firm (very roughly), let's see if this works out. We're already working together losely on a Quality Assurance base, helping out when someone's stuck on a project.

    // THIS IS THE BEEF

    So this is what I've been working on the past two months (on and off, I'm still a fulltime student). My client is an oriental dancer and dancing teacher in the region. The scene is kitschy up to it's head, I proposed a more professional tone and we both decided on the risc after the drafts were presented. It sure stands out among the crowd. It's already up and running, but if you spot any problems, misalignments and so on, It would be nice if you drop me a line. Criticism is welcome. Work is all mine except for the photos. The logo and corporate design as it seen now, as well as drafts and execution.
