I've been a member of this forum for many months now, and just an admirer for many before that. But until now I haven't posted. I've decided now is about the time to start my sketchbook.

I thought I'd introduce myself first. I'm currently studying for a degree in Fine Art, I'm in my second of three years.

I've been looking at everyone stuff and really like peoples styles on here, I've noticed my style is pretty different. But lately my style has been changing.

These are my older things.

from the bone studies you have going definatly keep at the bone and general anatomy studies especially if your thinking of doing more figurative stuff.

Thanks Ham I know I need to work on my anatomy, its not my strongest of subjects. Got to start somewhere though.

First real big project, first time I've really attempted a face in detail, I used to think skin was really easy, but now I find it so hard to get texture.

Optimus Prime I did, was pretty much the first thing I did when I got my pen tab for Christmas, so it's a few months old now. Didn't work into it anymore then this though:

Okay, So here's the story, The following pieces are for a series explaining the pressure I have as practicing artist, With more ideas then hours in the day, being able to visualize a perfect image but when it comes to drawing/painting it, it loses half it's appeal, I'm sure a lot of you can relate. These next few images is the explosion of my mind. Enjoy!

Not too sure on this style, original I pictured it in dual colours, I will revert back to that and try a less bright version.

Nice start!
I just have 1 crit: Not very major but in your last sketches, your anatomy studies were a bit off! I hope I didn't demotivate you!

hmm... nice studies, but try to avoid excessive crosshatching. pencil or even charcoal (yes!) would be a better choice for sketches than pen. and if you really prefer pen, buy yourself some gray markers for adding values and use pen only for the darkest parts and outlines

Little update here:

That there, would be, the sketch for the main character of an anime (very ambitious I know) His name is Nick Savage and the anime is called Darkhest Hour

Originally we were going to make a side scroller game, sprite based, just to show my pixel skills, heres my MS paint, first level mock up (large)
